IMO, idt there is anything wrong about it. Most especially if the visitor is a very close relative that gave a short notice for u to make essential arrangements. About sometime ago, a very close relative called and said she will be coming to see us. We glady welcomed her and we slept in the living room while she slept on the so called "Matrimonial Bed". Left to me, a bed is a bed, nothing supernatural, nothing spiritual. The level of importance we attach to the matrimonial bed is directly proportional to how we value our partner and that doesn't mean someone equally important can't sleep on it. Ask yourself why will a husband bring the maid on the so called matrimonial bed and the wife brings the gateman for a se.x marathon?

I'M WONDERING WHAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR PARENTS IS LIKE, IF YOU HAVE NOT SLEPT IN YOUR PARENT'S BED![quote
author=ZIMDRILL post=89306921]would you sleep in your parents bed ? am sure your answer is NO

the same reason you wouldnt sleep on that bed is the same reason father/mum -in-law wouldnt be able to sleep in your own bed you share with your wife[/quote]

go and read the thread again

the thread is not taking about kids

its taking about relatives who we assume these are grown adults, even if the relatives are kids would leave your bedroom and bed for kids to use while you sleep on the floor ?

Is it right for a couple to share their matrimonial bed with some relative?
Take for example, the husband or wife's family member visits and they leave their bedroom for this person.

I personally see it as a wrong move though. However, your contribution will be appreciated. Thanks.
It depends on who the visitors are and your relationship with the visitor and the availability of room space where you leave

If you are living in just a room and you have a visitor that have impacted himself into your life, it's possible you give him the bed to sleep, assuming he us a man, you and the visitor can sleep while the rest takes the floor and if a woman visitor the wife does same

Even such visitor won't stay more than 48hrs considering the room condition

If you live in more than 1/2 bedroom flat, you take him to the room, where visitors stays

This is not even worth debating. It is 1 million percent wrong. That is like my pleasure shrine and only my partner is welcome.
