Is There A Way Out Of This Mess? by supercold(op):
I wasted my years trying to become a graduate. If I knew that school wasn't for me I wouldn't have bothered and would have towed a different path. I've seen people go to school and succeed, even if they end up not using the certificate. Not me.
What can I do now?
Mid twenties,
no degree,
no skills,
no employment,
no money,
no friends,
no home.
Recently I've been thinking of ending my life. But a part of reasoning said I should seek help first. Perhaps there is still a way out of this mess that I'm not aware of.

DISCLAIMER: Someone suggested I'm here to beg for money. I want to make it clear that I don't want money from anyone and will never post my account details and expose my name for tokens at this stage. At worst I have relatives if I need tokens. I'm only here to see things from different perspectives.

I really think school is over hyped men,no jokes.
You can become anything you want to be in life without a degree and I mean anything.
Do you think not having a degree limits you from job interviews?I don't think so.
All private sector operators care about Is performance, not some decorated piece of paper.
Start applying too and submitting CVs,going for interviews, just be smart, different,a solutionist.
what do most of these graduates even know?
Get that hands-on aura and you are good.
It's very clear you aren't cut out for business, else you won't be here so I won't waste my time telling you about business.
Goodluck.

The decorated paper will get him a foot in the door.

If you said masters, I might agree with you.

But again, as you level up, you need a certain level of exposure and mind interaction that only occurs in such places.

What door are you talking about?
Everybody can apply to have an interview.
A lot has changed dear friend.
Where do you work?

I'm not sure how realistic it is to send applications or walk into interviews for jobs when you clearly do not meet the requirements.... most times a degree and/or experience

The fùcker is here to tell a sob story so he can beg.
Classic overused MO.
He will keep making excuses for every workable solution been given to him unless it entails someone asking for his bank details which I'm gonna make sure doesn't happen.
Bloody low life fùcking beggar.

Your command in English language is better than that of most graduates.. What about a receptionist job? All what it takes was good manners, the ability to prioritise and multitasking.. ( just good customer service/support skills)

You would offer a loser and a story teller a job?

He isn't even limited to receptionist jobs.
He can take interviews and will be given jobs if he makes the mark.

Thanks, I actually have that in mind as soon as I walk away from this town. It was recently I realized there is still hope to graduate. I know I can still be a receptionist with SSCE. I'm only pained at the wasted years trying for BSC

Don't you think that a little encouragement will do him a lot of good?

I believe everyone deserves a second chance in life.. I have lived long enough to know that it's not OK to write anyone off... he doesn't need a fish in my own understand, all he needed was the net to fish for himself.. He is only asking questions about those nets and how to get them..

Exactly.
I tried to let him know that not having a degree doesn't limit him from entering corporate world in Nigeria, especially as someone that is in the know.
He came up with all the usual negative talks and excuses losers say all the time.
That is how I know it's useless putting any effort in this one.
He should go ahead and beg already as I already know that was his intent for creating this thread.
I will be watching you OP smiley

Degrees are overrated.

You don't have to kill yourself as you haven't even failed.

You could take a job in sales, or look for a job as a receptionist, clerk, attendant, etc.

And then save up a little money and buy the cheapest decent used laptop you can find.

Then find tutorials and learn web development (Javascript - React, Node) and perhaps even Python/Django.

Udemy is a great resource.

He doesn't sound to me like someone that didn't complete his Bsc. Though I have seen worse..

I think anytime the citizens heard of learning a trade, it's just as if someone insulted them.. That was why I suggested the customer service. Nigeria is just Opposite of Australia.. where a truck driver earn more than a PhD/ professors put together..

Now that you want to start finding your bearings

Meet your family especially your parents if you are in good terms with them to pray for you, guide you and be there for you

We all as humans have our own mistakes, faults and flaws

But a down fall of a man is not the end of his life

Submit CV for a post that requires atleast a Bsc cert?
You are a joker, motivate him but please don't lie to him.
