I just want to understand how the hospital e health application will generate money.

The money was raised to start the business. They will also sell the application to interested hospital..

Yoruba glory resonates not only in Africa but the entire world.

Anytime you see all these young entrepreneurs making wave around the continent, you can be rest assured that they are Yorubas.

We constitute the largest block of young entrepreneurs and we’ve been dominating the Africa Forbes 30 under 30 since its inception.

If soliciting for $10million dollar investment is what you call unproductive then is it the Igbo 2by 2 shops that are productive.

Shut up and bow down to the superior Yoruba.

Data!. Depending on the depth they are collecting. The widespread acceptance of the apps would be the killer.

Awesome! This is a great move. Innovation is the new invention. Learn to pivot with the current market trend without loosing sight of the key ordinances, you're in business for money. Now is the time to commercialize their invention cos there's enough money in the Health Sector.

It is you that I called unproductive. If you are productive in any way, you wouldnt call a ten million dollar investment by some young people from rich homes the glory of a tribe like de yoruba. De yoruba I know is far bigger than that and they would not gloat over some rich kids that their families funded their biz enterprise. You are not exposed too. If you are exposed you wouldnt call their effort the glory of de yoruba.

I can sponsor you and your family for 30 years without blinking an eye. You don’t know the person behind this post.

I am productive and doing great for myself so pay attention to the issue of discourse.

You’re not wise, you see it clearly written on that front page that they sourced their fund with other participants like Ycombinators, Tencent, Chrysalis etc. You don’t have an entrepreneurial knowledge you would have known that Ycombinators and ten cents are big investors that have supported startups across the continent.

Where is it written that’s it’s their father money? You are just jealous of them and even if its a $1m investment, we will still celebrate it because it’s our omoluabi people.

Omoluabi doing it again!

Each time I read these, I certainly know it has to be humans from the southern part of Nigeria.
Seriously, how did the North turn out like this, they don't go out, yet no development where they stay.

As usual. Nigerian idea but foreign backed. So it's foreign owned. They are just figure heads. Soon the real owners will take it over. I am waiting for the day our youths will stick with their business ideas and build it with patience and inputs of investors of their kind, so that the returns will stay in Africa and not go to the West.

Suffice to say that if you have a tech idea that is not backed by a great moneybag or some foreign companies, it's dead on arrival. Someone said on radio today "we'll develop when our wealthy people stop empowering people with just wheelbarrow and tailoring materials, we'll develop when they start investing in research, development and great ideas". Until then, we'll keep managing the crumbs of our intelligent youths educated by foreign universities.

I just want to understand how the hospital e health application will generate money.

It is not a loan. The investors that contributed the money to support the startup company now own part of the company. They and the founders will share the returns. Hopefully the founders will not decide to sell the entire company to these foreign investors at some point in the future. So that the wealth created will remain in Africa. Our so called billionaires don't fund start-ups. Few that do it hand them $1,000 to $5,000, as if that's going to achieve anything. Instead of them to hand good amount of cash to few good ones.

Exactly. I don't think there are truly African owned startups these days that raised such amount of fund without foreign venture capitalists. From Nigeria to Kenya and Ghana, most if not all are foreign backed. Meaning that at the end of the day most of the wealth created will fly out of Africa to the West.
