What will be the new area of 500cm^3 of a solid if it’s temperature is raised by 15K? (Linear expansivity=19×10^-6 perKelvin).

I disagree he his supposed to tell us it is a cube

It is correct. With the linear expansivity, you can find the cubic expansivity which will you will use in finding the volume. Avter finding the volume, u use the formular for volume of cube to find the area

Area of what?

Cubic expansivity = 3xLinear expansivity
After finding the new volume, convert to area.
There can't be volume without area. Thanks

You can't be told it's a cube twice. Raised to power 3 has said it already

not correct

The only problem is the unit of area given.. It is supposed to be in cm² (sq. cm)

Raise to power of 3 does not mean it is a cube it can be a cuboid which has 3 different area surfaces (3×2=6) a cylinder which has 2 different surface area(1×2+1=3) a sphere, an hemisphere, a cone, a prism, a pyramids etc.

By the time you get that your answer you will say
Vol cube=LxLxL
L³=V
Then when you get L
You will say area =LxL

But all this are possible if it is a cube
