You can say we export nothing as far as agriculture is concerned compare to the rest of the world
BUT
Don't say we don't export palm oil at all.

The stats below is of 2009.

The second is of 2017

I'm not gonna answer you again.
Nigeria don't export palm oil again.
Before, yes but now, no.

You gave me chart of how Nigeria was 5th world oil producer but fail to include that nigeria imported palm oil worth of 500 million dollars a year preceding the yr that research was released which is 2016.

I don't do small kids argument.
Have a nice day.

You should have said that b4.
You made it seems as if we didn't export palm oil at all..

Anyways, couldn't find it in the Exchange Market, you might be right.

Thank you for continuing where emeka stopped

But I think soil science and crop science of imsu ...need to be given a mandate ...we need them to develop improved specie ...even if we don't plant them in government farms ...we can sale it to our people at the cost price ....imagine planting 10 million trees across imo state every year for 8 years ...that's 80 million trees that can produce 10,000 worth of palm oil per year at minimum
That's 800 billion worth of palm oil added to our gdp ....tax 15% out of that and that's 120bn per year

We need the same for ube fruit , udara ...we need good species ..not planting them and waiting for luck to make them sweet ....

This alone can add 3 to 5. Billion dollars to our gdp

Not to talk of plantain and banana ...we can formalize this sectors ...and get great revenue from them
bush man. Which Emeka are you referring to? Is it the one that abandoned the farm because of the beef he had with Rochas?

SE has so much industries lying fallow.
So much potential waiting for the tapping.
I honestly don't know the kind of creatures we have as leaders in the East today. How all those industries of old collapsed, I don't know, why they aren't being revamped I equally have no idea.
AVOP and all those is there lying waste in Enugu, while that round Teletubby is busy buying media awards and recognition for good governance.

Anyway if this doesn't turn out to be another one of their numerous publicity stunts and audio revival; 55% of the land should be gazetted for the cultivation of cannabis sativa; very important.

Why do we spoil good things in this country. A laudable project wasting away all this while and yet the current action won't be any different

True. But those people you "Can" purportedly feed are currently feeding without your efforts. So how's saying this Valuable.

The Igbos should fix their facilities. sure. You don't have to rub it in that others can't exist without you. That's really laughable.

U don't know what u are talking about.
Ghana is presently making money from oil palm export all over the world where's Nigeria has oil palm more than Ghana.
This below is palm fruit concentrate made in Ghana. Can imo reproduce this?
All Nigerians in diaspora use this to make their native foods and they are as good as the palm concentrates we make in our kitchens.

The problem of Nigeria is the politicians.
The oyibos downplayed and totally condemned palm oil with such flimsy excuses like deforestation and health benefits but recently even one of their most popular health Dr has started canvassing for it.
The question is?
Can your politicians key into this?
Can they think above the immediate gain?
Do u have any facts to backup this your claim?

Let's just take a look at a few things. If only we can up our activities of developing Agriculture in the country with factories like this working I don't know why we all won't be all happy.
Kudos to the government of IMO but more still needs to be done.
But this is a kick start.
