There is a claim here in the UK that black people are four times more likely to die of the virus than white people, especially those at the frontline and men.

And it makes me wonder why Africans are not dying in Africa. Could it be the weather, the food, habits, abject poverty or deprivation?

It may sound comical, but that is the obvious truth. Because the problem with this virus is that if one is tested today and it turns out negative, since one is active, it is not a guarantee that one cannot pick up the virus the next day.

And come to think of it, can one afford to test, test, test everyday? In Nigeria right now, close to 50% of those infected can't even tell where they picked up the virus, making them to disbelieve the result. And a few who have absconded later died outside the isolation centre!

Disbelief makes one become careless to ones harm and to the harm of others - that is the danger of nursing the idea that it is a hoax and even attempting to sell such an irresponsible idea.

May we survive this contagion. Those locking down will soon get tired - because the question is FOR HOW LONG?
