This is not true.
I know it will sound so, when he got surrounded with Dembele,Kagawa,Mhicky,Reus,Shurle and other quality creative players, he outscored the so called Lewandowski.
At Arsenal, with not so much quality creative players around, he won the golden boot.

Now imagine him around world class players from his early 20s, Auba will have the hype and ratings Aguero,Lewa,Suarez,Mbappe and others have in world football.

It actually didn’t sound so, it’s just not true.

Everything u put up there is just assumption and nothing more. The talk about Auba outscoring Lewandoski didn’t do much good to argument.

If u think Auba scoring 22 goals in 36 appearances for arsenal is a mean feat for arsenal , then maybe we should start worshipping Yakubu Aiyegbeni for scoring 17 in 30 appearances for 4cking Blackburn Rovers in 2011/12. For 4ck sake, Yakubu even played with a lot of players that didn’t make it to their national teams in their respective country( except for
A few). Here u are saying Auba that played
With Reus, Kagawa, Mkhi, schurle etc is the best thing after slice bread.

In fact Aiyegbeni outscored Luis Suarez, Edin Dzeko and even Balotelli who played for far more superior clubs.

Aubameyang no doubt is a world class striker but saying he’s probably next to CR7 when it comes to positioning, awareness and goal sense is just not true.

Aiyegbeni's era can never be compared to this present age. Even though Aiyegbeni played in an Everton side that looked like today'Leicester( mostly 5th position)I wasn't even comparing the whole package, just "positioning and awareness in box".
I can say Aiyegbeni has physical and shot power than other players in his time. Its not a blaspheme.
Aiyegbeni and those players you claim he outscored never played together.

Auba's record from Dortmund( outscoring Lewa), Arsenal( tied with Sallah and Mane, 22 goals is a mean feat for Arsenal last year) and with most goals coming from good positioning is the reason I made the assumption.

Ronaldo, Lewa, Costa and Cavani are those I can remember scoring similar kinds of goals.

And like I said, I only pin point "position and awareness in box).

Its just like saying Giroud is the best at holding and flicking the ball in the world.

U are missing the point. In ur post up there, u assumed Auba at Dortmund would’ve scored more than he did if he had played with players with higher quality compared to Reus, Mkhi, Schurle and co; right ? ....

Now I’m saying if that assumption is right, then maybe Aiyegbeni is a better player cos he played with midfielders like David Dunn, Jason Lowe, Steven N’Zonzi, Morten Gamst Pedersen, Mauro Formica, etc at Blackburn and he still scored 17 goals in 30 appearances. Maybe Aiyegbeni too has positioning and awareness similar to Auba and senior man CR7. Abi?

Maybe u don’t know, Aiyegbeni played 30 games and scored 17 times while Luiz Suarez played 31 games and scored 11 times.

So Auba outscoring Lewandoski does not necessarily mean he is the best thing after slice bread because the great Yak also outscored Suarez playing lesse game.

Talking about positioning and awareness, are u referring to this year and last year alone or what ?

Ahh, you're the one not getting me o.
1st paragraph, I said so because I felt you disagreed with me on Auba having the best positioning, So I used Dortmund even with not so great creative players, he outscored Lewa almost every year they played together. I used Lewa because they are a bit similar and he's also one of the best in the world.

So if Auba can be winning the golden boot there and also doing it in England I.e scoring those positioning goals with not so great creative players around, then Auba could arguably be the best in box in the world after Ronaldo. If he were to have been playing alongside the Xavi,Carzola,Robben,Marcello,Ozil(prime). That's my point. I hope it's clear now?

2nd paragraph, Aiyegbeni is a different case entirely, if Yakubu outscored Henri,Nisterooy,Rooney,Tim Cahill,Mido and other top scorers of his time, and he was very good and scoring with a speciality kind of goals( positioning, heading, long strikers ot,physical bullying)then one can say Aiyegbeni is probably the best in his time and type of using physical strength to score behind Drogba).

3rd paragraph, You can't compare with different seasons and eras, There's a reason Sallah scored 40goals in 2018 but 22goals in 2019.
If Yakubu outscored Suarez in the same season or era, then we can stake a claim.

4th paragraph, Auba outscoring Lewa and winning the golden boot, Auba winning the golden boot in England outscoring several good strikers in a less creative team, is more than toast bread. And with most goals coming from good positioning and awareness(N.b this two categories alone)is the reason I made the assumption.

The positioning and awareness I'm referring to is from his Dortmund days till date.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by BlueRayDick: 9:08am On May 10, 2020
This is ur initial post saying Auba is arguably the best behind CR7 when it comes to awareness and positioning.

Now to buttress that point u claimed he would probably have scored more if he was playing behind dem De bruyne, David Silva and co. Now if u believe this, then u should believe Yakubu could’ve been Epl highest goal scorer in 2011/12 if he had played behind fabregas, Alex song and the rest.

I deliberately brought Yakubu to the table when u claimed Auba is second best to CR7 in positioning awareness because he outscored Lewandoski in Germany. Yak also outscored Suarez in his prime and nobody said he was the next best thing after slice bread

Football is not mathematics. Auba could’ve scored less if he had played for a bigger team too. Those players Auba played with in Germany were in the form of their life....u can’t compare them with the players Yakubu played with in Blackburn Rovers. In fact Blackburn got relegated sef.
Fkhalifa:

Auba is just a 9 CF, his pace and good crosses isn't enough for wing job.

Auba's average general play is the reason I'll always place Henri and V.Persie ahead of him.

However, Auba's goal sense, positioning and awareness is arguably the best maybe only behind CR7, now imagine bombarding Auba with creative players like in Man city and other big teams? He'll score 50 yearly.

Yes that's wharamean, I didn't say it authoritatively, you see "Arguably, and could," i.e there's a chance( bigger chance at that).
Same with Yakubu, he could have won golden boot, just as some Nigerians will say on how Jay Jay could have been African best or even more recognized in world football like KANU and Eto.

Nobody knows what can happen, but you see somethings and you can make meaningful predictions. Its natural to think such, I can say Carzola could have had the fame of Xavi,Iniesta if he played in barca, yes, it may not happen, but that talk cannot be out of point.

The only side I don't agree is comparing Yak and Suarez's different season.
If Yakubu outscored Suarez in the same season and in their both primes, then yak could be as good as Suarez and can be compared.

Its just like Martinelli outscoring Harry Kane in the next 2 seasons, then I can say he is arguably better than him at scoring.

Bros look at this screenshot below. Look at numbers 5 and 17 and tell me if Yakubu didn’t outscore Suarez the same season.

Oh my bad, I never knew they played together, I thought Yak ended after 2010 world cup and Suarez emerged after the world cup.

Football is not mathematics in truth, I used outscoring Lewa and his golden boot in England and Germany with lesser quality creative players to back my assumptions up.

You're one big Alatako undecided what I said is clear and I know some people will get me straight, but you have this Nigerian lecturer mentality cheesy you sha go criticize to the bearest minimum like say we dey Seminar room. angry

Yes o. He actually has 95 goals; he’s the third highest scoring African in the epl behind Drogba and Adebayor on 104 and 97 respectively.

He should’ve been one of those players we talk glowingly about their exploits in Epl, but for that World Cup miss. Obviously Nigerians don’t forgive and forget.

Lol. So you never heard....

Isokay.

Outlets said he and his friends wanted buying a PL club but were far outbided by a fresh, unknown rival that has now tajen over the said club

That sounds like Newcastle to me.

If DB can have such then its not far fetched to say the frustration of being outbided wont make him desire Arsenal.......

Arsenal is currently worth 2billion.

Covid19 may affect the tag though. So it makes it all the more easier.

Expect a takeover.

If Dangote takes over, He'd be the 4th richest club owner in the EPL.

Ramsey likes to shoot and do useless skills. I doubt he's going to have serious numbers in the assist department even if he returns to Arsenal(which is highly unlikely)
