Let's not act as if this is the first phone I'd be using how can a phone falling once or twice be the issue?
I used a Tecno that had a cracked screen, I mean the cracks looked line a web yet I didn't get this ghost touch thing.

u neva can tell...my best bet is the touch is malfunctioning... probably ur fone was humidified through something...

I'm intentionally not quoting anyone cos it seems as if this is a general problem.
You can't come to a platform and give us the ills u experienced with Ur device without telling us how h used the device.
Someone complaining of ghost touch after 10months without a history of use or issues bothering on screen and non responsiveness without a clear history of use is not fair.
I'm not saying the brand is without flaws, hey flaws plenty, this can happen to anyone and any brand at anytime.
Just give a brief history for better diagnosis, even a doctor cannot give the right prescription without adequate information on the history of the ailment.
Just my 2kobo....
Cheers

You're on point here

About use, my phone has always been my "baby" it has fallen on my face while lying down thrice. Other than that, I've had no other history of my device falling. The flickering suddenly started while watching a movie, so you can understand my fear and frustration. Imagine using your phone and suddenly see two lines on the screen out of nowhere.

Re: UMIDIGI DISCUSSION THREAD by saint2ace(m): 9:09am On May 11, 2020
I will make a general answer since I cannot quote everyone, one by one.
Screen touch issues i.e ghost touches, mistouches and flickering touches as described by those here can be attributed to a few facts and it combines with our usage on most umidigi devices.
These errors I have discovered spans most legacy devices especially the midrange versions and that's that precipitation and moisture easily sips into the screen compartment of the phone, so sweat and water splashes easily gets in cos the glue used in holding the screen in place isn't well put together.
My Umidigi one still works well but unfortunately it screen literally fell off, and I think it's based on the fact that I swear alot, so the sweat Linda weakened the glue and one day the screen just fell out.
Had to take it to a tech guy to glue it back together. And since then it's been a sturdy device no worries whatsoever.

So my advice is watch the way u handle Ur device around moisture, especially when u're sweating and when u have water around Ur device.

Just my 2kobo...... Cheers all

I know am the one you're referring to

It's time we all stop all this protecting a brand whenever a complaint is made against them

Umidigi uses shitty cheap parts for there phones especially the A series

I've been using this phone for Soo long without any serious fall
Infact I don't use it with a screen guard and you won't even see a scratch on this screen nor on the back glass

They used a very poor LCD screen coupled with a heat machine processor which is the cause of all this

Even the battery now can barely get more than 6 hours of SOT which is very poor from a phone that is not upto 1 year

Enough with all the justification please

Your Oservation is very correct. My A5 pro slipped into water slightly and the screen stopped responding. Its insured though on Jumia with axamansard.
since march its still pending resolution. Aside the issue its quite an amazing device for it price.

Yes. I was wrong. The battery drainage was becus of Etisalat network..

I totally remove the sin today and I got today despite having 70% charge today and still some battery left.

MTN network does not drain. Etisalat network drain battery the most. I don't know about Airtel and Glo. But Etisalat network drain battery and make phone hot.
