A dramatic video of a toddler being rescued from an apparent arrest has gone viral in South Africa.

A man understood to be the child's father is then instead arrested in front of a woman with two small children inside their gated community.

The community in Durban, where the incident took place, has earned authorities strong condemnation despite the possibility of lockdown laws being flouted by the family.

In the clip, two officers can be seen walking through the gate of a residential property following which they attempt to arrest the small child for being on the beach during LOCKDOWN.

The terrified small child screams that he doesn't want to go to jail as an adult rushes to assist him. The father asks for the woman in the clip to call his lawyer while the small children can be heard pleading with the officers not to arrest their dad.

A police investigation is ongoing.

I am on the side of the cops on this one. Too many people are flouting lockdown regulations. Once they get caught there's an uproar.

Why are some human souls inhumane?
Don't they have children or are they mad?

Let's see other parents try take chances after this incident. I'm sorry for the kid but an example had to be set. There are just too many kids on the streets and the parents are care free. Come tomorrow there won't be a single kid out on Durban's streets, I can bet u that.
