BAYELSA INTERCEPTS TWO BUSLOAD OF ALMAJIRIS

The Bayelsa State government and security operatives on Monday intercepted and sent back another two buses carrying no fewer than 17 Quranic education pupils, more popularly known as “Almajiri” at the Glory Land entry point into Yenagoa, the state capital.

Freston Akpor, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Orientation and also a member of the state’s Covid-19 Taskforce, said that in quick response, the operatives stationed at the entry point ordered that the Almajiri children be taken back in the same buses conveying them.

According to Akpor, the buses were intercepted by a team of task force officials led by Akpoebi Agberebi with a team of security operatives on enforcing the “No Entry” directive of the government at the border.

According to the members of the State Task Force on Covid-19, the Almajirai were made up of young boys of various origins from the Northern states.

“While some of the Almajirai claimed they were on their way to the state on commercial fishing expedition, others claimed to be on the way to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.”

Akpor, however, confirmed that the 17 persons, including their drivers, were escorted to Patani, the border between Delta and Bayelsa states.

What's with this attempt at smuggling the Almajiris down South lately?

The Southern leaders should jettison party affiliation and take tough measures against this nonsense now.

The useless Northern politicians have used them to enrich themselves, now they're bent in pushing them down South. After using money from SS resources, now they're sending their parasites to devour the whole land.
Because of all these rubbish I am supporting YORUBA NATION.

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2020/04/30/yoruba-nation-becomes-45th-member-of-unpo/

On the move. The Yoruba people of Nigeria just became a sovereign and democratic territory, like the nation of Taiwan having been admitted into the UNPO. Now, as a territorial and independent government of Nigeria with membership in UNPO what is next for this informally new country in terms of President, currency and relationship to the whole world and Nigeria especially. Again like Taiwan and District of Columbia ( Washington D.C.) with this new yoruba autonomy, as a new de facto republic or de facto nation what will happen next? We know it already has its police system.
I am from the historic Esan tribe in the mid western region of of Nigeria( Edo State)..... I am watching this development oo. I hope you are..
We can't continue like this, nooooooooo. The current matters arising in Nigeria in terms of social, economic and political democratic practices remains painfully disturbing. Again I remain optimistic.
Congratulations to the Yoruba people for your self determination move.

Last last, the almajiris still stays in the South, might even still find their ways to their original destination!
Why must Bayelsa dump them at their boundary? Do Bayelsans think these people will simply give up after being dumped?
They should have intelligently found out exactly from where did they come from and depot them straight to the hands of their government with much publicity!

Almajiri in Bayelsea??

This is just a political propaganda!

I don't believe this shit!!

They should interview them and tell us the full story!

I no longer trust all these toilet media... The News is even from a Facebook post not from a reliable media source!

Every body coming down south from the north is now Almajiri...

They will snap pictures and post online tagging them Almajiris.!!

Those children are either with their parents or being trafficked!!

People should stop believing in every one sided story they see online!!

Almajiris have been taken to their different Villages in the northern part of Nigeria... Those from Niger republic have been taken back to their country!

All this Almajiri Palava in the south is pure propaganda!!

The south would experience more of this kind of development since northern governors have banished them. The most painful part is that these children would grow up to cause problems for their hosts even though they are not Nigerians. This is a very serious issue that southern governors need to addrese quickly.,if not these children will pose serious threat to security of anywhere they settle down.
