In 2 kings 7, Elisha gave a prophecy and it came to pass. Did d people pray for d prophecy to come to pass? What& what actions did d people do 4 Elisha's prophecy to come to pass?
quoting this portion of the means you understood what the story is.
about shortage of food. the enemy fleeing leaving the whole camp stored with food.

Elisha prophecy shows there will be bounty in food in just a night difference.
are you expecting the crowd to go against him knowing fully well that they needed food to survive
Elisha prophecy just brought to their knowledge of what God has perfected due to their supplication over time

I think we sometimes have to draw a distinction between when a pastor/Imam gives a prophecy and when they speak as within their capacity as a citizen. It's unfortunate that in a bid to drive traffic people to ascribe all their words as prophecy even when they are just speaking like a normal human being. It is very instructive that we draw up this line

The real word of God can never fail.
How do you mean if people fail to comply?
He prophesized that Covid19 would be over by March 23rd, that has nothing to do with people.
His forecast failed him

Prophecies can fail my dear. If the people fail to comply, the negative part of the prophecy will manifest.

Wickedtruths:
Mention a single prophecy in the Bible that failed because the people failed to comply.

Just one.
Just one? Okay. Story of Achan. Populated ancient Israel suffered defeat in the small city and few population of Ai because of Achan's disobedience that dismissed God's prophesy of victory.

But I don't think its connected to the topic either..

Living in denial has never been a solution to life's problems. Confess positively all you like, your problems will only become bigger unless you learn how to solve them and do what is needed no be by mouth.

Chill please... A lot of people do far better economically in the villages than in the mega cities.

Living and hustling or working in a city doesn't always translate to success... There are so many poor and miserable hustlers in Lagos and other mega cities, who would have been better off financially in their villages.
I never said village is bad, read my post again, I. Am Talking from the perspective that we won't go down, but rather go up!!!
