double08:Hearing from God is not suppose to be peculiar to Pastors only . Everyone Christian is supposed to hear from God . " "my sheep hear my voice " |

double08:The same way you and I would hear the voice of God. Only by asserting that "The Lord spoke to me", the pastor is playing on your mind by asserting that the authority of the voice he heres is greater than the authority of the voice that you may here. |

Tgirl4real:Not so! His word is not the bible and whatever translation you are clutching. His word is Jesus Christ. |

MightySparrow:You mention that your Christianity is a personal experience, then you flip over and say they should read books written by mere men who they have no way of verifying their claim of belonging to God. How come ![]() |

Tgirl4real:Why do you need preachers when you have God himself to ask directly? |
| Re: How Do Pastors Hear The Voice Of God by Anas09: 9:49pm On May 12, 2020 |
double08:God speaks to everyone who is Spiritually alive. He doesn't speak to pastors alone. And, they various ways He speaks. He speak to someone by dropping a specific Word from the Bible into your spirit. But, if you don't know the Word if God, it will be hard to hear God because mostly it is His Word that He will repeat to you. |

Weah96:Not the heart, but the spirit. |
| Re: How Do Pastors Hear The Voice Of God by Anas09: 9:52pm On May 12, 2020 |
Tgirl4real:Wow. You can just put yourself in trouble by being ignorant. God speaks to people audibly. Its not only through the Word. If the ears of your spirit are developed, He will speak audibly to you. Stop being so abrasive and quick to insult. |

Kobojunkie:THE BIBLE you read are records of mere people's experiences with God - 'people of like passion' |

Anas09:That one na lie! Are you suggesting that for over over 1000s of years, during which only the religious men in rome, and the rich aristocrats of the day had access to a copy of the book you call the Bible today, God did not speak directly to his people, many of whom had no clue what was written in the book aside from what they had been told them by the religious bullies of their day? ![]() |

MightySparrow:People of like Passion? Nah!! Where did God tell you that you should listen to people of "like passion"? If anything, Jesus spent a significant amount of his time WARNING YOU AGAINST these so called "people of like passion". Was Jesus off his rockers? |

Kobojunkie:In other words, you are claiming that God speaks to pagans ans Idol worshippers. To do what exactly? You can post those He spoke to to prove I lied. Hahahahahahaha. How ignorant people can be yet call people they don't know lies. Even to the Nation of Israel where prophets who see God and hear God are drawn from, God keeps them quiet for years. From Malachi to Matthew, do you know how many years God kept quiet? He does as He please. |

MightySparrow:What phrase? |
| Re: How Do Pastors Hear The Voice Of God by Kobojunkie: 10:47pm On May 12, 2020 |
Anas09:Pagans and idol worshippers? I was speaking mostly of people who lived from the time of Jesus' death to about the 1700s. How do you know they were all pagans and idol worshippers? Anas09:Where evidence do you have to claim that God kept quiet from the time of Malachi to the time of Matthew? ![]() |

Kobojunkie:'Like passion' |
| Re: How Do Pastors Hear The Voice Of God by Kobojunkie: 10:59pm On May 12, 2020 |
MightySparrow:That word is not from the bible. It's origin is from the latin word "Passio", and none of the original scripts that comprise your bible scriptures, were written in that language. |

double08:In ancient times God surely speak with people but after Jesus' ascension everything was handed over to Jesus who later spoke with people! Hebrew 1:1 Jesus spoke with people face to face for about three and a half years then declared he's no more going to speak with the world (unbelievers) anymore! John 14:19 Then he continued communicating with his disciples until he revealed the last prophecy and concluded it by saying "No addition and No subtraction" Revelations 22:18-19 So afterwards any voices from the spirit realms is that of demons NOT God! Revelations 16:14 compare to 2Corinthians 11:14 ![]() |

Kobojunkie:Remember we are still talking about God talking to His people(?). You called me a liar because I said God mostly talks to people via His words. You went on to say what about all the people who lived from the time of Jesus. Do you know that the Word of God was in the hands of those who were not under the conteol of Catholic Church? Do you know that while the Catholic Church held almost all the world under bondage the Syrian or the Coptic's had their scrolls or parchments which makes even their version of Christianity today different from ours? It may interest you to know rhat no one can outsmart God. Before satan makes his plans God is always ahead of him. Most people under the Catholic rule had no access to the word of God, hence didn't know God personally except what the friars and monks said, how then will they know whose voice will be speaking to them? If you have a record of any one whom God spoke to audibly pls, let's hear. Kobojunkie:I am not going for spoon feed you on this. If you are a Bible student you shd know this. God was quiet and didn't speak to anyone for 484yrs from the time Malachi appeared last to when John the Baptist appeared. Do your research and stop being lazy. |

Anas09:I technically did not call you a liar but you what you posted was a lie. Anas09:OK? so, during this time, did God not speak to his own because they had no bibles to read from? Anas09:You mean to say that when God speaks to man, even today, man has no way of recognizing his voice or HIM?? Are you suggesting that there is no way for a man to know the very voice that called him into being? Anas09:Last I checked, God is God all by HIMSELF! So He decides who and when He will speak audibly to anyone He chooses. I don't make that decision for him and neither do you. Now if He wants me to have evidence of this, He would let me know. And given the personal nature of the experience, I couldn't simply dismiss the possibilities of it, neither can I trust the claims of it, unless if given that proof for my own benefit. Anas09:Where is the evidence of this claim you make here. What is the source of your claim that GOD WAS QUIET for 484 yrs? Oh, I do my research but I have no way of validating this claim of yours given I have never come across such claim anywhere. This claim of yours supposes that MALACHI was the last script written during the time of the old prophets, when in fact MALACHI is only just the last book included in the finally compilation of the old testament books as we have it today. |

I think it is lack of spiritual growth that make us to doubt some things that should be part of our daily life. “My sheep know me and hear my voice” Jesus said. You can follow anyone physical or spiritual without hearing their voice. Our problem most times is we want to use head knowledge to understand and describe the voice. Pastor or not God speaks to everyone, but he seems to speak to believers more because they have the hearing ear and they know His voice. Imagine yourself in the market and someone shouting sssss hey hey you may not answer not because it is not your name but primarily because you don’t recognize the voice. Prayer The word Are the major ways to hear God |
