President Muhammadu Buhari has withdrawn security details attached to the Rivers State COVID-19 Task force. The security officers are said to be withdrawn based on human rights abuses on the path of the state’s task force. The President’s decision is coming few days after the state Governor, Nyesome Wike supervised the demolition of two hotels for violating the state’s lockdwon directive. The state government action drew lots of criticisms from Nigerians. More details to follow… |
