Do you have a source for Boko haram dropping an alpha jet with an AA gun? If yes pls share. I’m aware they’ve dropped a few heli’s but not an alpha jet.

named as Wing Commander Chimda Hedima.
In a post on Facebook, the support group described the pilot as “a
true Nigerian hero”, noting, “It is with deep regret that we
announce the death of a true Nigerian hero, Wing Commander
Chimda Hedima (1975-2014)”.
Continuing, the group said, “This is his story. Read it, share it.
This man was a hero, of the highest order.
“On 11/09/14, a company of NA soldiers attempted to overrun a
BH position in Borno. Due to the low altitude, the plane suffered
significant damage from the terrorists’ gunfire. Wing Commander
Hedima and his partner realised that they were going to crash.
“They, instead of hurriedly parachuting to safety within Nigerian
controlled territory, chose to embark on a mission to destroy as
many terrorists and their weapons as possible”.
“They parachuted out at the last minute but not before ensuring
their plane slammed into a column of terrorists; 63 Boko Haram
members were killed as a result of their bravery

prop planes are needed for HALO and airborne deployment , because jet engines blow jumpers and cargo off targets, causing injury, damage and death, close air support fromm a tuccano? ha! find out about operation rolling thunder, John mccain was captured when anti air defence weapons shot down his jet, be like say u no de hear, that aircraft used in vietnam isn't safe or effective for modern warfare, na swear bokoharam go swear for the pilot the plane go crash.

Its not evrything you criticize.
Probably one of those shouting why we didn't get f16's or euro typhoon e.t.c
Each person with his own suitability!
Go nd read about the tucano .... its on of the best for ground attacks nd that's exactly what naija needs.
Its not about showing expensive equipment , its about how effective/efficient will they be for your circumstances.

Not to mention that those latest fighter jets are very expensive nd we don't even have facilities for their maintenance plus cost of operating them is higher than these tucano nd lastly but least these set of tucano heading for naija are equipped with advanced avionics that weren't a part of its original component(an upgrade) so you people should chillax pls.
