bestman09:HIV affect the immune system itself, that it, when u are expoae to a virus like covid 19, it affects your respiratory organ and ur immune system fights it, but HIV affect your body immune system which is suppose to fight it, secondly some virus decays after infection, such as Ebola and coronavirus but HIV, herpes does not decay. Does virus that don't decay we live with them forever. Malaria is not a virus but a bacterial. I don't think there are vaccines for bacteria. |

Indeed for th word to return back to normal, a vaccine is needed. No country will allow random people into their border just because a cure exists as you would have infected others before being cured. Covid-19 Vaccination requirements by Visa/Border officials is inevitable. |

Great job OP. You said we need the vaccine to prevent the pandemic but the pandemic is here already. I had like you to talk more about the advantage and disvantages of vaccination with facts from and focus on previous vaccinations. Note you may have to research deep to get something reasonable IBNgemini: |

Nairalandmonika:Kudos sir, But malaria isn't a bacterial but a parasite(plasmodium spp). There are vaccines for malaria, but they only protect against mild form of malaria. And there are also forms of prophylaxic drugs given, when one is bitten by female anopheles mosquito. The plasmodium spp having a complex life cycle (man -intermediate host,) and site of infection (Red blood cell and liver). This complexity gives them different antigenic type , thereby fooling the immune system. |

So since vaccine is a weakened virus or pathogen it is meant to prevent, why can't they or even you weaken HIV virus and administer it to prevent HIV. Just curious. |

Meninmen:It's not true. The word "drug", "medicine", "medication" are the same(synonymous), and are used interchangeably. Vaccines are drugs/medicines/medications, but are under the Biopharmaceutical class of drugs/medicines/medications. |
