Troops of the Nigerian Army attached to Sector 1, Operation Lafiya Dole, have shot dead nine Boko Haram terrorists during an ambush staged for the insurgents along the Mainok-Jakana Road in the Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.

The army said the ambush, which was carried out on Wednesday about 6pm, resulted in a firefight, adding that two soldiers were injured.

In a release, the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col Sagir Musa, said two gun trucks mounted with anti-aircraft guns were also captured by troops, and exploitation of the area was ongoing.

He said, “Troops of Sector 1 have successfully staged an ambush at identified Boko Haram terrorists crossing point at Mainok-Jakana axis in Kaga LGA.

“So far, nine Boko Haram terrorists lost their lives; two gun trucks mounted with anti-aircraft guns have been captured and exploitation is ongoing by the troops. Two soldiers are slightly wounded. The situation in the area has been normalised.”

Do you mean Soldiers that fight Bokoharam members ....or Bokoharam members that fight soldiers

I understand that putting an end to the activities of terrorist is an uphill task because terrorist are like hydra when their head is chopped off then expect another head as an outgrowth from other part of the body
Which means terrorism can not be quashed but their activities can only be reduced
