My sympathy for you OP!
I have traded on jiji well for years before I carried my business profile to jumia and Instagram(When I saw a clone of my business profile created by a scammer).
Kindly note that scammers always come back to prey on the same site under the same category after sometime(with the same scheme).
My advice is, open a new jiji account(a new mobile number and email), just stay on a low for a few weeks in the same category while you observe new products posted, the scammer will post another similar or the same product and you might be lucky he uses the same profile. If not, this is where your FBI skill comes in.
You will have to master the way the scammer's post was when you first chatted with him then find the most similar post to engage again. From his chats, you will know whether it is the same scammer you are chatting with if you are smart enough(look out for his typing pattern, use of English and photos he sends to you). Loop this strategy till you nail him.
If you ever nail him, request for a payment on delivery just like the last time and this time, it will be your ballgame. Involve SARS/Army IF YOU ARE NOT A YAHOO BOY( cos the case may back-fire against you later)
Then the delivery man can be apprehended and your case will be half-cracked, you should know how the rest would go.

Once again, accept my sympathy for your loss.

Help! UBA Nigeria and customer defrauded me this 12/05.

I used this popular online selling app "JIJI" looking for a new phone Note10+.

I transferred 270,000N from my Zenith account to seller UBA during delivery and delivery agent run away with the phone. NOT PAID THROUGH THE APP...

Directly I called the seller and he said that he didn't receive the money but will tell the delivery agent to come back with the phone. This was 12th of May around 5:40PM.

Today 13th of May, he called me at 11:00AM after my Zenith account manager called him to complaint that they will follow his BVN. He argued saying that he was struggling to get the money from his bank because he gave the wrong account. That the account he gave can only receive 50,000N per transaction. Then said it's fine and will immediately send the delivery agent.
Till now he is not picking calls, blocked me on Whatsapp.

Attached the JIJI conversation, WhatsApp profile of the person and debit confirmation.

The fake seller info:
Nurudeen malik, 2148824557 , UBA bank
Phone number: 07040464008

Need help to get my money back please cry

Firstly, I sold my first car on Jiji.
My good friend bought his Highlander on Jiji.
I bought my current Elantra on Jiji.

Its a good place to find a handful of clients and to negotiate properly.
It also allow you to see what you are buying before paying cash.

Jiji do not collect money from anyone and they sensitize a lot of the time not to pay until you have confirmed what you want to buy.
Sorry to the OP. You can resolve this when you go to the bank and report to the police. Its easy.

Lets always address issues objectively.

I didn't pay through Jiji app.
The delivery came with the phone and I made the payment.
The problem is that the person to who I made the payment was not the phone dealer.
So I ordered from him and he ordered the phone as he was me.
Then during the delivery I transfered the cash and he was saying didn't receive anything.
When trying to sort it out on call, the delivery agent ran away!
Lol.bro the guy don scam you. Na new format wey come out

Many thanks for your advice. I tried today to check other profile with the same products, looking after pictures but didn't find him.
Will continue check as you said...

My colleague linked me with a police officer but the scammer number is not going through.

Instead of insulting and been arrogant, you can simply give your advice. This can happen to anyone.
Am not Nigerian to know how things are going here and I am here since 5 months only!

Avoid this type of answer on someone problem next time.
Thanks
