The information reaching NGhubs.com is that a petty thief have been brutally killed for stealing a bike.

According to our correspondence, the incident happened in Ehugbo community in Afikpo North Local government Area of Ebonyi state.

The suspected thief who hailed from Amaokpu Ezeke, Amasiri, Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State was brutally killed by youths of Ehugbo community after he was accused of stealing a motorcycle.

According to an Eyewitness

The young man went to Ehugbo with the motorcycle which was said had been stolen from the owner in Ehugbo sometime ago, which the young man in defense argued that a friend gave him the motorcycle and pleaded that they should follow him to Amasiri for clarification and the angry mobs failed to listen to his appeal.

The barbaric mobs that gathered at the scene could not believe his long explanations and stories, as they pounced on him in annoyance over the high rate of motorcycle theft in the area, and beat him till he slumped and died.

The entire Ehugbo community have been calm since the incident. We are however yet to get to security agencies to comment on the incident
