It didn't go away..it mutated into different strains..some mild and some not so mild strains..people still die in their thousands from the common flu in the West..but most have built generational or herd immunity to it.

Always slow to the uptake this WHO. Something known for months now. Viruses rarely go away. Name them. HIV, small pox, SARS, ebola, etc. Once established in the population can onliy be capped not exterminated. So how can a virus that is practically airborne passed by respiratory activity die off easily in a vastly shrunken and highly mobile world.

Once it cannot be shut out of a locality or community then it is pointless runing away or hiding from it. It is better to formulate strategies to combat it and continue life.

As the planet heats up, humans expand their habitation and the natural habitats of a lot species particularly the exotic ones come under threat more of these viruses will be released into the human population. The planet is basically fighting back to curtail the destructive advancement of man beyond his natural bounds.

Not about reading online. Anything can be online.

People get it here, and some get treated for it and survive and thousands die from the Flu at the end of each year over here in the US.

Hmm. I don’t mind. It’s one less thing to avoid in addition to AIDS and cancer. What I like about the virus is it wipes off the weak from the human race. If you’re fit and healthy it’ll pass you by.

We just have to live with COVID-19. It has been added to list of coronavirus diseases around (MERS, SARS). It ain't going nowhere. This is not pessimistic prognostication or doomsday gloominess, but nascent reality. We can only hope for a drug or a vaccine, and that may take months to achieve.

Malaria has a vaccine and there is a reason malaria didn’t have a vaccine for many years and that is because it didn’t affect Eastern Europe and Americas that much only Africa and Africa is not known to be innovative.

I see the patients here who have it and I know those who have died from it this year.

4months later Nigeria has only officially recorded less than 200deaths. Will people stop dying because of the existence of covid-19? Corona will clearly not be a problem in Nigeria . Every one should learn to drink chloroquine once you feel any symptoms .

Please stop recommending what you is not proven. No one is advised to use chloroquine, it was a mere guess and people actually died from hyper chloroquine content in their system. Stop misinformation please.

People recovered without chloroquine. Some even recovered by just boosting their immune system. The recovery is not necessarily from the chloroquine, how about people that died from excessive chloroquine content in their system?
