Lol! To hell with WHO
Before HIV came, if WHO had said something like HIV may come to stay without a cure what would you say? anything good or bad can happen at anytime so don't be surprise this maybe true. only God can put a stop to anything, he can reveal the cure of even HIV to man. the reason this maybe true is simply because it can easily be contacted as a result of carelessness even if eventually there's a cure to covid one nine

Very true. I was telling someone the same yesterday. Just like Malaria has no vaccine but can be cured. We will have to manage the virus.

But i just hope that's not the case.
*Uncomplicated* malaria can be treated easily when diagnosed early and with the right medications.

That's not true. A lot of countries are using the drug in the absence of a proven cure and they have seen fewer deaths.

Covid-19 can and will be a problem in Nigeria if it gets full blown. The mistake most of you make is to think that we've so far weathered the storm with aplomb, forgetting that we're merely dancing in a drizzle.

Nigeria is still at the early days of its version of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the number of cases has escalated rather slowly, given what happened in places like Italy and the US, there's no arguing the fact that number of cases and indeed deaths are still rising regardless.

Number of confirmed cases as at today stand at approx. 5000. Of that sum 164 have died.

Nigeria's population is over 2000000. Using the current case fatality rate (from the figure above), over 6 million people will die if the virus spills over.

While this inference is heavily skewed (there's a significant amount of undiagnosed cases) it paints a picture of what can happen if Covid-19 runs unchecked. It could be devastating.
Remember that when deaths are reported, it's not just numbers or statistics, it's people actually dying; loved ones, relatives, breadwinners etc.

Although it's impractical to lockdown the country indefinitely, you have to realize that covid-19 is a problem - a very serious one for that matter. And dealing with it practically is about finding ingenious measures that give a bit of that and a dash of this to slow down the spread whilst concurrently surviving our already battered economy.

Also, quit touting chloroquine as a viable antidote for SARS-COV 19, I expect you to know more than that.

They would know it wouldn't go away because it is a man made recombination virus and the end game is their poisonous vaccine.

The only way when can live with it is by continuing social distancing and masks and other precautions bt this are not normal way of living hence we cannot live with it without serious consequences.

Best option left will be potent drugs for cure or a vaccine.
