Just three deaths. Let d government open up the the country back to normal. corona virus cannot kill thousands of people in Africa as d gullible who proclaimed. Burundi is even conducting election amidst the pandemic. Covid 19 is not an Africa disease.

Nigeria is not having it too bad like many other countries and that's a good thing.

It's only when testing is ramped up, before you can say for certain..........

What did NCDC do with the lockdown period? Simply wasted it......

Poor Nigerians, you have the data right before your eyes and still cannot interpret it,a country of 200 million has only conducted 30k tests and 5,000 which is 17% are positive and you still do not see the problem.

I pray this episode called covid 19 ends soon. We need a better and effective way to control the spread of this virus in Lagos and everywhere like a cure to end this. Respect to all the medical team. Please keep staying safe we will overcome someday.

Over 30,000 samples tested, and only 5162 confirmed cases.

So less than 20% of samples tested came out positive.

Not bad news, in my opinion.

Oga, when compared to many other nations, Nigeria is not doing badly despite low number of tests. If not for the incidents in Northern part of the country, there shouldn't have been any need for lockdown because social distancing, use of face masks and border closure would've been enough.

What is the population of USA and how many have been tested? Biko take your pessimism to your country, Congo Brazzaville. undecided

FG is not serious with the way they are handling this covid cases, test per day rate is too low, if in every one thousand test we are getting over a hundred positive cases, than this is serious trouble. More will died without tested, which is what is going on north., Transmission rate will be high. We are lucky the death rate is still low because the people infested are people without any major health challenges.

The fact is Africa can never record high fatalities like what we seeing in Europe and America. People are not even obeying the guidelines here in Africa, yet d casualty rate is very low. If its an Africa thing, thousands of bodies would hv litter the streets of Africa countries with d levity hand we using to handle the virus. Reason am undecided

Why is the testing slow?I have a feeling the cases are undereported and Nigeria does not have accurate statistics

For 2 months now we are still struggling to do up to 35k test in a country of over 190 million peoplw.
Whereas small countries in terms of population have been able to test over a 100k people.

Nawa nor be chinese city of wuhan wey corona for start na him wan test 11million people within days. And in two months we are yet to conduct up to 35k test.
Our health system is nothing to write home about

Nothing to write home about in Nigeria not only the health system na everything from head to toe

Your ignorance is on another level, usa has tested more than 50million people, in case you don't know that is more than 1000 times the number your safe country has tested.
It is ignorance like yours that makes me fear for what is about to befall us in the long run,I mean if a youth cannot even think constructively what is the country's hope then.

The effect of not increasing testing capacity accordingly is making the reported cases look fake. Some people might have suffered from this virus and recovered without knowing it since some people are asymptomatic and some do not have severe symptoms. The number of reported cases on daily bases will remain fairly constant if the testing capacity remain constant. I'm sure that NCDC is aware without being told that their data are almost useless since it can not be used to know the current situation, talk less of making any useful projections.
