It's only when testing is ramped up, before you can say for certain..........

What did NCDC do with the lockdown period? Simply wasted it......
I tell you bro. Wasted the 5 weeks lockdown. Threw away little gains made and still wasting time now angry. Can someone ask the dg why we still conduct around a thousand tests per day despite increased laboratory network undecided

The issue currently is testing. Russia tested over 6 million persons with average of 10k cases daily with 40% of confirmed cases without any symptoms. Wuhan is planning to test 11 millions people. Even Ghana had tested over 100k. Why is Nigeria testing just over a 1k daily? and most of the test is people with some kind of symptoms. When are we going to test everyone in Lagos and Kano?

It is ignorance like yours that makes me fear for what is about to befall us in the long run,I mean if a youth cannot even think constructively what is the country's hope then.
USA has definitely not tested 50million people

Baba did you conduct autopsy to know the cause of their deaths? Or have people not been dying mysteriously before the coming of Covid? Is North the only place with the virus? Why are people not dropping dead in Lagos, or u think lagosians that are known to be very stubborn are adhering to the social distancing and hand washing rule? If Covid is what is Covid is what's killing people in the North then a lot of Lagosians ought to have died mysteriously too cos u need to see how Lagosians crowd themselves. Once again, reason am
I agree with this assertion. Sometimes I think the media just wants to stir up fear in the north when reporting on this so called mysterious deaths. So Lagos the epicenter isn't recording mysterious deaths? How . What was the death pattern of the state before tagging them mysterious

Governmrnt is saving money to pay legislooters. Test kits aint cheap, you know grin

Thing is if you ask Nigerians to come out now and protest against the shenanigans the FG and its NCDC are fronting, they won't. Hell! Even Kano, Jigawa and Bauchi mumus couldn't protest amd seek the real reasons for the mysterious deaths in their own backyards.

When you tolerate rubbish for too long, it becomes difficult to change it.

It's like they're on to something we don't know cos I still don't understand their strategy in combating this thing undecided. I remember before community transmission really set in everywhere, they were still holding onto their smart testing undecided but that can't continue now. Honestly I don't know what they dish out in their daily press updates but they need to answer why our highest test per day so far is 2k and why since then it's still an average of 1k despite new testing centres lipsrsealed

No mind them, most people on nairaland like claiming they know alot, if you have been to the the north before then you will know why they don't fear coronavirus, people have been dying enmass from cholera, heat wave and other diseases in the north.
If NCDC are conducting lesser test, maybe they have there reasons, whatever they do they sure cannot hold people at home for so long.

I just hope that the repeated tests on the 1180 discharged cases to confirm when they turned negative is not captured as part of the 30,000 tests done, because it could be misleading!!!.

FG sud increase testing! Ghana, South Africa and other smaller countries have carried out over 100,000 tests
what you don't know is that Nigeria's Molecular test method is by far the most accurate testing method compared to rapid test method carried out by Ghana and SA.

just tested 10million +[. There is no need of hyping this matter,God has defeated this virus for us. You may choose not to believe this.quote author=Babapyro post=89559152]

With their slow pace of testing before next month the majority suffering from it must have recovered without test, so that your postulation will not work, now we know the malaria drugs, apologies to Dokoesi, used in curing many and also the ingredients of Madagascar organic drink, ordinary malaria Agbo drink my grandmother always prepare for us.

Nigeria govt should do enough test, so we don't get cases everyday again, if it continues like this , we will be having cases everyday till 2021..we are over 200 million , we cant be doing less than 2000 tests per day ..

That 30K mark, is less than 15K people..... Remember, it's samples not different people.....
