Huawei P40 Lite 5G Announced With Kirin 820 5G Chip But Without Google Services by beejayvince(m): 7:39pm On May 15, 2020
Huawei launched the original P40 Lite back in February. However, the phone launched with the Kirin 810 chipset and this means that it does not support 5G.

A few days earlier, there were speculations about a device called Huawei P40 Lite 5G launching in Europe. Huawei has now silently added the 5G phone to its official website. So we now have information about the specifications and price of the device.

Huawei P40 Lite 5G Specifications
The Huawei P40 Lite 5G is said to be a re-branded Huawei Nova 7 SE. The Nova 7 SE is already available in China. With this in mind, the P40 Lite 5G sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display. However, there is something interesting to note. On the official specifications page, the device is said to sport an OLED panel. This is different from the Nova 7 SE’s IPS.

The device comes with a quad-camera setup on the rear. This is made up of a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro unit. The selfie camera is a 16MP shooter housed in the phone’s punch-hole notch.

Under the hood, the Huawei P40 Lite 5G uses the Kirin 820 5G chipset. The Kirin 820 5G chipset offers a 27% improved CPU performance and a 40% improved GPU performance over the P40 Lite’s Kirin 810 chip. This is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Huawei P40 Lite 5G is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging. According to Huawei, the phone can charge 70% in 30 minutes. It will run Android 10. However, it will not come with Google Mobile Services. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Huawei P40 Lite 5G Price and Availability
The Huawei P40 Lite 5G has a starting price of €400 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The phone is available in Crush Green, Space Silver, and Midnight Black color options. When you buy the Huawei P40 Lite 5G, you will also get Huawei FreeBuds 3. The phone is now available for pre-order in Europe. Official sales will start on May 29.

Just like Deeper Life bible church in the 80s and early 90s, television was evil but now they preach on facebook. Religion and paranoid goes hands in hand.

No. It could mark the beginning of a niche that would replace Google play services
