Edo State Government, led by Godwin Obaseki, has said that it spent the sum of 18 million naira as costs for the demolition and evacuation of a hotel belonging to a Benin businessman, Tony Kabaka.

In a letter by Obaseki’s Commissioner in the relevant Ministry , the Obaseki government requested that Tony Kabaka should refund the money to Edo State Government.

Meanwhile the matter is subjudice as a competent court is looking into the matter.

What the complainant can do is challenge the bill it is left for the court to tell him that the bill is outrageous or not.
