Its good to see someone from ORLU actually say that Rochas brought some level of development to the region. It has always been made to look as if NOTHING was done in Orlu at all
The kikakia that always lament here is not even from Orlu. You and I know that Rochas did well in Orlu. He dualized all the major roads of Orlu, he built a stadium, Orlu plaza, Orlu relief market, Imo state school of nursing and health technology, eastern palm University Ogboko, Bishop shanaghan polytechnic Orlu, the unequipped general hospitals in the various LGAs of Orlu, the skill acquisition center, one unknown gigantic block, the Orlu building materials market at Umuowa, he built rural roads and so many others. The list is endless.

He also built rural markets Imo state in which Orlu zone were not left out. Everything is there for everyone to confirm. Kikakia or whatever is just a paid Agent who's discharging his duty.

In the history of Orlu, it was only Rochas and Udenwa government gave the town a serious attention.

Okay, now that we have both established that the governors from ORLU and OKIGWE have shown that they cannot help their people. Can we both agree that it'll take a governor from MBAISE to deliver ORLU people?..

U just said that Ihedioha who was governor for few months already had plans to move one IMSU campus to ORLU. Something that all the governors we've had from ORLU couldn't do.

I hope you'll start campaigning for an Mbaise governor in the next 7 years. You can start now, so that by that time you'll have gathered enough supporters for MBAISE people and deliver ORLU and OKIGWE people from their "underdevelopment" (as you call it).

Your last paragraph is so informative. Truth is, other industries will grow pari passu the hospitality industry, like transportation and agriculture.

If I may ask you, what other sectors do you think Imo has comparative advantage to develop on?

Never knew Shanahan has a polytechnic in Orlu. Their hospital was best in Nsukka during my undergraduate studies at UNN.

Bros. Mbaise is in Owerri.

I know the levels of urban development in Owerri and Orlu when Imo state was created in 1976. Owerri was slightly more urban than Orlu then.

Then, Orlu had a stadium, Owerri had a stadium. Orlu had public water supply. Owerri had public water supply. Orlu had many urban streets, Owerri had many urban streets.

Alvan Ikoku College of Education is what Owerri has which Orlu hadn’t.

Imo state got created and Owerri Politicians caused the location of all six new universities and politechnics in Imo state all in Owerri, nothing for Orlu. That’s fraud.
Owerri develops and expands through all these institutions. As Owerri expands, every governor is constrained to invest the government funds on providing more infrastructures in Owerri.

The rest of Imo state outside Owerri, worst hit Orlu, remain backyard. Worse, Owerri people are happy for this ugly situation in Imo state.

If IMSG does not undertake development of Orlu’s infrastructures, the rancor shall increase.

It’s a most stupid persons who enjoy a state where only one place is developing.
Okorocha enlarged four major roads in Orlu. That’s all. More than fifty urban streets in Orlu are like civil war era, no water supply, no tertiary education institution.

Ihedioha from Mbaise put most of his governance efforts in upgrading the development infrastructures of Owerri, including roads, drainage and water supply.

Okorocha Rochas took to developing his Ogboko village.
He arrested development of Orlu.
Imo needs a new modern city with essential infrastructures like public water supply system, tertiary education institution road and drainage system to give Imo people more locations to build residential houses and business.
Owerri is overdeveloped. Nearly all the communities around Owerri are overbuilt with residential houses. Orlu must be upgraded now.

I know Mbaise is in Owerri. I asked you a question. Since all the governors from ORLU and OKIGWE have failed their people, isnt it wise for them to vote for a governor from another region? (In this case seeing Mbaise is the one bringing out candidate)

Kai, imposter so the paper you read about Orlu did not tell you that Orlu 1st stadium was built in 2005 during Udenwa regime while the Owerri stadium has been since time immemorial. Orlu and Owerri have never be at par in terms of development. Stop saying what you don't know. If what you are lamenting here is true why was it that Mbakwe regime gave attention only to Owerri, Aba and Umuahia? The reason was because Orlu and Okigwe were seen as Urban centers not a city per say.

But to wrap it up, you are a liar here. And you don't really know the Orlu you claimed to come from. Orlu is my first home if you mind to know. Rochas and Udenwa did well in Orlu, before now Orlu used to be a village center having only Umuna, and some parts of Amaifeke and Orlu nwafor as the developed areas. But today, the city has expanded to ihioma, Okporo, Umuowa, Owerriebiri, Mgbee, Ogberuru and Eziachi and will soon incorporate Nkwerre. Thanks to Rochas and Udenwa. No government will leave the capital of a State and give it's attention to other towns of the state. Orlu is receiving the adequate attention it ought to receive. No town of Orlu level has two stadia, all the major roads in double lanes, 4 higher institutions including the one at Ogboko.

Imo has given Orlu it's fair share; the immigration school that was supposed to be built in Owerri is in Orlu, imo state international market is in Orlu, Imo state University teaching hospital is in Orlu, Imo technical skill acquisition institute is in Orlu, Imo state school of nursing and health technology is in Orlu, Imo state school of nursing and midwifery, Ogboko is in Orlu, Bishop shanaghan polytechnic is in Orlu, there's a plaza constructed by imo state government in Orlu, there's a conference center constructed by imo state government in Orlu, there's a relief market constructed by imo state government in Orlu, Imo state owned cardboard paper factory is located in Orlu.

Bros, are sure you know Orlu? Because from your actions original people from Orlu can tell. Originally I am from Orlu and know the changes that have occurred in Orlu from late 80's till date. You contract has expired because Rochas is no longer the governor, so please leave our Orlu alone.

the reason for real estate boom in IMO state is not far fetched. The state is one of the most centrally located state in Nigeria
sitting in the middle of important cities like Aba,Onitsha,Port Harcourt ,Enugu,Okigwe,Orlu,Umuahia,Uyo
That makes it a delight for investors

Who’s a state governor in his right senses would see that more than 100 housing units in Orlu and the houses built by Okorocha government in Ideato, were either not occupied or not gainfully occupied because of absence of public water supply system in Orlu zone, yet the governor started building new 1000 housing units on Egbu road in Owerri after contract to restore public water supply system in Owerri? None.

First thing after contract to restore Owerri water supply system should’ve been start work on the similar public water supply system earmarked by IMSG for Orlu, restore similar water supply system of Okigwe also started by Mbakwe and completed by Udenwa government, before talk of building 1000 new houses in Owerri.

Mbakwe government started Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu modern water supply systems at the same time, but was able to complete that of Owerri zone first.

Orlu Township Stadium was in existence more than 50 years ago. Udenwa govt merely got VAST Construction company which modified it and put more seats and floodlights.

Rochas your mentor dismantled the stadium, after much outcry, he put another roof. But the stadium in shambles.
He built another one but also not completed.

Bishop Shanahan Polytechnic does not exist inOrlu.
Unless Eastern Palm University is converted to a full government university, there is no government university in the whole of Orlu zone which deserves a government university. IMSUTH is a hospital with less than 350 students that mostly come from Owerri to Orlu for practicals.
Orlu and Owerri on near levels of urban development when Imo state was created in 1976: Electricity and pipe borne water supply system existed in Orlu as they existed in Owerri before Imo state was created in 1976.
Why are you proud that since Imo state was created, pipe borne water stopped to exist in Orlu but remains in Owerri?

More than fifty urban roads in Orlu built during the 1970s have not seen asphalt, though houses have been built fully on both sides of the roads. Rochas did eyeservice enlargement of one major road in Orlu - Ihioma road with a short stretch of Amaigbo road, and three other short roads - all total less than 5 km.

Immigration Training School Orlu which you have your eyes on and which you said was supposed to have been in Owerri because Owerri is state capital, take note that Imigration Training School is federal government owned and had since been in the official gazette as located in Orlu. You are most stupid with your mindset of every govt project must be in state capital.

See this lunatic writing nonsense again. Which stadium existed for more than 50yrs? Orlu come and see this guy oo. Guy stop exposing yourself and ignorance here.
You are a paid Agent and you have a mission please remind me again the name of your community. The stadium you see was initiated and constructed by Udenwa before now Orlu was a small town without much town roads, I will not tell you much of Orlu history so that you will not use it and upgrade your knowledge about Orlu. I was the 1st person that made mention of the contribution of Amadi Ikwechegh to Orlu development and I watched earnestly how your write-up diverted to Amadi Ikwechegh.

You said that Bishop shanaghan polytechnic does not exist please go back and ask the person that is giving you information about Orlu to make proper enquiry. And 2ndly, you said that the only existing higher institution in Orlu zone is Eastern Palm University, what of Imo state polytechnic Umuagwo, Imo state school of nursing Amaigbo, Imo state school of nursing and health technology Okporo, Imo state school of nursing and midwifery Ogboko, Hezekiah University Umudi Nkwerre, Technical skill acquisition institute Orlu? Bro, I'm now out to expose you.

Orlu and Owerri has never been at par in terms of development in the history of Nigeria, I don't know why it's too hard for a naughty like you to accept. Owerri Catholic diocese was created long before Orlu, If you say Owerri and Umuahia some fellow can take it because in the old Owerri province, Umuahia was the capital. Though Orlu has been an ancient Urban centre in the history of Igbo but has never seen development equally with Owerri. Before Udenwa regime, Orlu used to be the Imo state third largest town after Owerri and Okigwe and overtook Okigwe to become the second due to the attention it received from Udenwa government and the contribution of the indigenes. Before Udenwa, the only tarred roads in Orlu were the federal roads like the Nkwerre/ihioma road, enugu/Ideato road, Owerri road and few rural roads. It was Udenwa that constructed new Owerri road and the adjoining street, expanded Orlu town and built more rural roads in Orlu zone. It was Stella that attempted tarring Ochasi ato road when she was the local government chairman but could not finish it then Udenwa reconstructed it to the boundary of Imo state through Obinugwu.

I can agree with you on the issue of electricity which was due the effort of Orlu indigenous people.

But brother, pipe born water where in Orlu? Please I need to know the location where I can see the water tanks and towers and even the Orlu water board office. This one is a lie in totally, since time immemorial, anyi na agbada ugwu je chuo mmiri. The project was only proposed but was not executed.

You said: More than fifty urban roads in Orlu built during the 1970s, please by who?
Wonders shall never end, a stranger telling us about our home, so Igbo is such porous?
Guy is like I will stop it here. I've confirmed that you don't know Orlu before now. Built by who? Ndubuisi Kanu, Ike Nwachukwu, Amadi Ikwechegh (all military) or sen. Evans Enwerem? Before now Orlu was like most of other Nigerian cities where only the major roads are constructed while the inner streets are left without tar. It was Udenwa that tarred almost all the inner streets and Rochas expanded all the major roads which are more than 40km in total starting from Owerri to Orlu, from Orlu to Akokwa, and some that were not completed like the new Owerri road, the one opposite at. Joseph Catholic Church and the one beside the children park that leads to Orlu fire service.

Finally, you said that I should take note that Imigration Training School is federal government owned and had since been in the official gazette as located in Orlu. But have you ever mentioned it before that something like this exist in Orlu, you always claimed that nothing both federal and state is cited in Orlu except Imsuth that all the federal and state institutions and institutes are cited in Owerri. Then I ask again, what of Imo international market Orlu, Imo state school of nursing Amaigbo, Imo cardboard paper factory Owerri-ebeiri, Orlu relief market, Orlu building material market and Orlu plaza?

Please leave Orlu alone cos you don't really know Orlu. You are just a paid Agent who wants to bring division among Orlu indigenous people and make it seems as if the governors from Orlu zone did not do anything in Orlu whereas they did their best.

The 1st pix is the Orlu Akokwa road dualised by Rochas
The 2nd and 3rd are the major roads of Orlu town dualized by Rochas
The 4th is the 2nd Orlu stadium built by Rochas
