xprimate: Bro, I believe that some dedicated people took time to write out an SOP structure at the beginning of this thread. You can find how to use subheadings to explain and link your documents in your SOP. Secondly, your personal account, what is the source of that money ? Do you have a freelance job or side hustle apart from your main job? Finally, since your job is not closely related with your intended course? What was your previous bsc and your current job description ? 1 Like |

mcobex: My bad, thanks for your candid input. I have a BSC in Electronics and Computer Technology, am currently working as a system admin in a Webhosting company in Nigeria. My fear is that my current job earnings will not make a strong case for home ties. Trueth be told, I don't really want to be permanent based in Canada, the program I believe will open up a lot of opportunities for me. Thanks once again for your time. |

nochyks87:Thanks for your insight. Yes, I do some webdevelopment and some buying and selling side hustle, but my brother have also been building that account for my study(even though he will sponsor me). I am currently a system Admin in a Webhosting company in Nigeria, I have a BSC in Electronics and Computer Technology. Thanks again for your time. |

Tonyodg: (1) Go ahead to submit. legal documents to show proof of how she earns her income is okay (2) Yes. (3) If your elder brother is your co-sponsor, then clearly state that in your letter. Show proof of relationship to both your mum and brother (birth certificate) Show proof of source of income. Don't complicate things, submit only relevant documents. Arrange your documents properly and you are good to go. I wish you all the best. |

Preshy2004: Hello. You can pay to Western Union Business Solution via wire transfer. My school also required me to use Western Union for the deposit and here was what i did; 1. I contacted the school for alternative method of payment and they gave me various option like paying online using Credit card or other debit card option. Well, I paid the 2000 deposit required by my school using my Payoneer debit card online. 2. I paid the tuition via wire transfer from bank. Just walk up to your branch and tell them you want to make a wire transfer. Goodluck 1 Like |

Urrch: I don't think that is realistic, it's hard for anyone to believe, and you don't want the VAs to doubt your application. Only if you can explain with the document that the company is planning to sponsor you. My opinions are my own 1 Like |

Shizzleadedapo: My opinions are my own Firstly, I am planning to use my two sisters as my sponsor. ==> Is it possible you combine the sponsor to be just one person to make the application less cumbersome. (if two sponsors, make it yourself and the other person) My other sister which is the Co-sponsor has a PR in Canada and I want her to give me a sponsorship letter to proof she will take care of accommodation and probably a little of feeding. ==> When you mean, she will take care of your accommodation, is she going to let you stay with her or support you in terms of cash for your accommodation. Some things matter here, there is a Canadian National Occupancy Standard, Single household members 18 years or older should have a separate bedroom, does she stay in a house/apartment with additional room available, remember Canada knows her address, family size also and the kind of house she stays, if this will mean she will have to take a new house, they know her income level through tax to know if she can afford it. So I will advise, you still show your 10k Secondly, I have a registered business and also I work in a company owned by the family and earn 300k will this be good enough as family tie ==> this is good for family ties. You could also use your daughter as family ties, and don't forget to state her in your application Lastly, for the rent, can you quantify the amount you do receive yearly, collect some and save them and show it to Canada, Canada is interested in available cash as at the time of application. |

silvamania: Hello Silvamania, Owing to your profile, I just underlined sponsorship and funds. You're good to go based on your funds as a self-sponsored. What you should be working seriously on is your home ties. BTW, endeavour to prove your have a reliable source of funds. All the best |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by JustMellow: 3:44pm On May 20, 2020 |
Anon123: Hello Anon123, For the bolded, a co-op permit is entirely different from the traditional work permit. Thus, it has to be applied for separately and it doesn't make a student eligible for a PR. The co-op permit enables a student work unlimitedly but doesn't qualify/count for PGWP. All the best |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Crystalheart: 3:50pm On May 20, 2020 |
It's not necessary. landed properties are to show home tie, while letter of sponsorship is to POF. He is your dad and you are entitled to his properties, I don't think you or your mom need to explain anything in that regard... Adetayoade1: |

Good day my people A friend of mine works with a concrete production firm (main role: determines and formulates chemical composition of their products, product testing and other lab works). He wants to do PGD/C in related field, I have searched using "PGD/C in concrete chemistry and Concrete technology in Canada" but none came up. So I decide to ask here, if anyone knows college(s) offering such or related programs please help list them. Thanks |
