Western Region Ministerial List In 60s by Anambra1stSon(m): 5:13pm On May 21, 2020
Main reason Mid-west asked for referendum to be separated from Western region, they also used their common wealth in developing western states most expecially Ibadan in the 60s, During this period newspaper articles written by AG loyalists appeared in which various ethnic groups of the proposed Midwest were warned of “Benin domination.” In the smear campaign, designed to derail Midwest unity, rumors were spread about how certain posts were going to be dominated by “Benin.”

These people won’t leave their cave and read to understand what is going on or what exists outside their immediate environment.

All they hear and know is Yoruba, Yoruba, Yoruba. What is this Yoruba, and what does Yoruba entails?
Is it a single entity?

As it stands on that list, all entities were almost represented and some Yoruba parts/dialects like Ijesha, Akoko et al were not represented, what do you want them to say?

The Midwest comprises majorly of Itsekiri, Edo, Esan, Ishoko/Urhobo and they are represented.
Ministers were selected provincially in a way that could be likened to be the Federal character today.

But Jorubas will accuse the Ighos of marginalization writing several articles on how they will marginalize the Nider delfans and other minority tribes when Biafra comes.

Please, let's say no to hypocrisy and stereotype.

From what I've read, SW were brutal and mean in the old western region dealings against smaller tribes. Lets not pretend about it.

I guessed everyone have learnt their lessons from what happened and the reason there will always be fear and doubt in smaller tribes being in the same country with bigger tribes

Abeg no one should quote me. angry

The western region created the assistant positions just to make sure Edo and Delta people are subjugated and are placed at inferior positions to that of yorubas.

Yorubas are the purveyors of tribalism in Nigeria.

The first recorded case of tribalism was from a Yoruba called “akintola”

Akintola’s vitriol against an igbo man appointed as VC even though he was the most qualified.

To this very day, their leaders and public office holders have openly instigated tribalism without repercussions.

A more recent escapade was the violent disenfranchisement of igbo voters in Lagos, 2019

@bolded
How dare Igbos hold elective positions in Lagos

Go through the list

Minister of justice is Edo, Minister for education is Edo and Minister of Labour is Edo

With Every single Edo clan fully represented.

At least, we allowed the minorities to decide their own fate in a referendum, Ojukwu quashed a Niger Delta republic and still went ahead to annex their land in a would be Failed Biafra.
