Please my people and professionals in the pharmaceutical sector, I am an Engineer by profession, I work with a private company, over time I have been thinking of a side business I can venture into so as to enhance my income. Am looking at a chemist shop drug business. Please can you advice me on what steps and cost implications to set it up and run it. Note: I intend hiring an auxiliary nurse to run it for the time being as am not medically inclined, I hope to learn the trade with time. |

castins: Your idea is good, however, chemist shop is not really clinically inclined for you to hire an auxiliary nurse first. Why not a chemist? When your shop is big, you can now employ an auxiliary nurse in addition to the chemist. 1 Like |

castins: Don't follow that advice. You will be shooting yourself in the leg. That body is for pharmacy and not chemist. Chemist is very easy to open. You can either look for someone in your locality to put you through or look for a nurse, I mean an old nurse, they know alot about it as well. As a matter of fact, it does not requires any business registration neither any association registration. Just know what and what to buy in the shop and where to buy it. All the very best! 2 Likes |

vickifeanyi47: It depends on his area. In my previous area, knew of a lady who started with 250k. Shop rent with furnishing 100k, goods 150k. It all boils down to the area like I said. She didn't join any association. There are alot of them like that. Op should study his area to ascertain what is obtainable. 3 Likes |
