THE YORUBA IN BUHARI GOV HAVE REARRANGED THE POPULATION TO MAKE THEMSELVES MORE POPULOUS THAN IGBO.

YET VIRTUALLY ALL YORUBA POPULATION ARE IN SW.

IN EVERY STATE, AFTER THE INDIGENE IGBO ARE THE SECOND MOST POPULOUS.

IGBOS CAN BE FOUND ALL OVER THE WORLD IN LARGE NUMBERS AND RIGHT ACROSS AFRICA, EVEN ASIA.

SO HOW IS YORUBA MORE POPULOUS THAN US?

THIS IS Y THEY TREAT POLITICS AS DO OR DIE, BECAUSE THEY WANT TO KEEP PEDDLING FALSEHOOD.

Same goes for BVN and NIN registration.

So how won't they have an idea of ethnic group population
This can't be used as yardstick.

Ask Nigeria.
They will not publish the result of state-of- origin, only state of residence.
They can even use BVN like you said to determine the population of ethnic groups, but they wouldn't.
The result of such I suppose would not be favourable to the owners of one Nigeria.

I have a Biase Friend who told me they are Efiks.
Biase like claiming Efik.
Yes I know they have Igbo influences.

Are there even any minority group in Eastern region without Igbo influence?

Even akamkpa that borders efiks are not efiks, how can biase be? Only the umon speaking part of biase can be said to be somewhat efik but they speak a different language.many parts of biase are culturally influenced by efik,Igbo and central crs.according to prof attoe, biase is an ethnicity on its own with 5 clans and several language groups. Some parts of biase are said to be ekoi.cross river is just a confusing and complex zone.

Talking about Igbo influence, several parts of igboland are influenced by non Igbo tribes.a peep at the history of ohafia, abiriba, parts of arochukwu, ebonyi, nsukka will reveal that they were once non igbos

Yet several stats continue show that the Igbos are least populated of the big 3.

In developed countries, they are trying to organize themselves so they can manage their population, country like China with over 1billion people, is sending their population to different countries to establish bases there.

At a point in time China adopted the one child policy. Its hard to see a couple in China with more than 4kids.

But in Nigeria, born enough children, give them voters card to be voting in useless leaders and be boasting we have more population than u.

One quarter of the population is seating down on the road begging everyday, another quarter is in different prisons either in Nigeria or abroad with more waiting to join them soon, another quarter is 30years and jobless.

Instead of to take care of our population we are here looking for how to make more.

They were easily replaced after the war.
The Igbo omenana have a way of ensuring that "Ama agaghi echi", ask an Igbo to explain that for you.

I don't know what you are talking about.
An Igbo family is monogamous but always at least 6 members, some more.

You are on your own.

You know what I am talking about.how can you be populated than an ethnicity with large polygamists.it is painful but accept it.even the ibibios have a high birth rate

Polygamy doesn't always mean more children.
We are many in my family and my parents are not polygamists.
Many times, monogamy ensures more children are successfully brought from infant to adulthood with better quality of life and ready to start the reproduction process all over again.

The Igbo have a closely knitted family system. It's not magic.

In Igbo we say, "Uzo nwanyi abughi uzo nwa " and "Otutu nwanyi, abughi otutu nwa".
Translated to early marriage doesn't guarantee early birthing of children, and many wives doesn't translate to many living children. embarassed

Can you claim that the difference between Hausas and igbos will still be less than a million? Why can't you agree to simple facts? The Igbo ethnicity is becoming highly modernized and civilized,no one is in a hurry to get married.you cannot be more than a tribe that has millions of people practicing polygamy.

Seriously do u think before u talk?

If in Nigeria do u think if they decide to do every region control your resources 100% and pay tax to the fg, we igbos will be at the loosing end?

If bayelsa starts controlling its resources, how do u think states like ebonyi and Enugu without oil will run?

Even IMO and abia are marginal producers so their production can't be banked on.

How will the SE survive?

U people are so much in a hurry that u are willing to commit suicide to spite I dont know if its Nigeria or the north

Niger Republic and Chad still practice polygamy and are Muslims, yet are sparsely populated.
Don't be deceived.
Many people we call Hausas in Nigeria are not, many are Chadians and Niger people they are giving free access to flood Nigeria.

Polygamy has never been a main determinant factor in population. Look at Saudi Arabia the home of Islam with polygamy, despite the rich oil economy, they are not even up to 45m people in Saudi.
