Oh my beloved Ghana, The Black Star and Gateway of Africa. A country of 29 million people rated 3rd most powerful country in Africa and 54th in the world. Ghana brands itself as the Beacon of hope for Africa. The torchbearer of democracy, peace and security, fastest growing economy, home of entertainment and events in Africa, home of the Black Diaspora.

Nkrumah's Ghana where "Freedom and Justice" is our motto.Indeed,God bless our homeland Ghana. And make her Great and Strong. And Help us to resist Oppressors rule with all our will and might forever more(Extract of Ghana's anthem)Now let the Black Star of hope and honour shine brighter than darkness itself and let the whole world know that the Black Man is capable of managing his own Affairs (Dr.Kwame Nkrumah)

I wonder how d black star can shine brighter than the darkness cheesy

that's the mystery. If America ,Israel and the white Europeans have white stars and put into our dumb brains that white means light, angel, good, bright buh black means dark, devil, darkness and something bad.How do you expect the Black man to succeed cos he has been made to hate his own self. Black comes in all shade, black is beautiful and black too can shine.Black is different from darkness.

That's why the father of Pan Africanism Marcus Garvey created the Black Star line Ship to illuminate Africans and the other father of Pan Africanism Dr.Nkwame Nkrumah put the Black Star in the flag of Ghana representing Africa's hope.

This thread is nonsense, now patriotism apart! Nigeria is the Economic, Political and Population powerhouse as well as The Largest Consumer Market, Africa’s first Trillion dollar Economy, with a G.D.P, the size of the next two economies combine, now! Egypt might be on the most powerful country list not because of any other thing but solely cos of it’s Military power that’s basically all of it, Egypt gets 2 billion dollar in military aid from the United States now you see where it’s military prowess is coming from, now lest not forget that Nigeria has always place is foreign policy on Africa not the whole world therefore making Nigeria arguably the Giant of Africa, the representative of the bLacknation and arguably Sub-Saharan Africa power house, when you talk of powerful do you know Lagos if name a country would be the 5 largest economy in Africa, potentially the 3rd in coming years... no doubt Egypt is Africa’s Military power house, but this won’t make up with out having money or political strongholds, besides Egypt most time associates it self with the south East Asians with the likes of Syria, Saudi and all.. making all other norther Africans in the same thing! Nigeria is the representative of the black race and Africa as a whole, we all know the west doesn’t wish Nigeria well and all other agencies collating and predicting, either they say bad things about Nigeria portraying us as a bad nation other than showing our good side! Forget the List! Nigeria is Africa’s only Hope to being a super power if it’s plays it card right! Peace
I agree with some things but you've gone ahead of yourself here.

--If you mean Nigeria being a trillion dollar economy in terms of purchasing power, Egypt is still ahead by a small margin.

--Cairo, Johannesburg and Cape town all have larger economies than Lagos. Johannesburg by a very large margin.

Egypt is the most powerful African country and not Nigeria

The ranking of the most powerful Nations on earth for 2020 came with few surprises.
One may wonder that with the numerous titles sat on by Nigeria, the African Giants can never miss such a ranking. Nigeria is thehe world’s most populated black nation, Africa’s best national brand and the Africa most attractive magnetic force for venture capital. But still with all those titles, Nigeria managed to miss what could be the most regarded ranking in the world.

Ever since the rankings commenced in 2016, Nigeria has always made the list – however the are usually at the bottom position. In 2016, Nigeria was ranked 57th most powerful country out of 60 nations that were listed. In the 2017 edition, Nigeria went down to the 77th position in a list of 80. In 2018, Nigeria went up one position to collect the 76th spot among 80 countries.

How is the rankings is compiled?
The ranking was released by US News and World Report. The ranking examines the degree of political, economic and military power of a country, as well as its external influences. As part of a yearly Best Countries survey, the resuu was gathered based on responses from 21,000 people. The report covers perceptions of 73 nations.

The most 73 most powerful are listed below:

1 United States

2 Russia

The United States has held tight to its position as the most powerful country in the world for 2020, based on the U.S. News Report’s yearly power rankings, which are influenced by perceived power and influence.

Nigeria, in terms of this ranking, has never had a strong voice when it comes to national power. Judging from its bottom-rank position in the past few years, there is little no surprise that Nigeria finally disappeared from the ranking. Yes, it was among the most powerful Nations in Africa, but now it’s no longer part of the list.

See the main reason below why Nigeria was trashed out of the leagues of powerful Nations.

They can't even have stable power supply

Most of their people are in poverty.

Most backward educational country.

One of the most worthless currency in the world.

For the mumus mentioning Ghana.. forget big economy and GDP nonsense, our country is import based, very useless. 90% of our earnings is from oil.

Ghana has less poverty(less than 20) unlike nigeria(over 50%)

Ghana has achieved stable power supply, nigerians are busy jubilating when nepa bring light.

Ghana has better economy, currency, security, education and health sector.

Let's keep busy fooling ourselves and shouting Africa giant up and down, we were above south Africa 40 years ago and Ghana was below us now everything has changed, we now see south Africa as a "rich abroad".

Among those countries which of them are the citizens dying to leave their countries? Ghana and south Africa want y'all to leave their land.

Our passport is worthless and our reputation is in ruin yet you want to be included in world most powerful country lmao

As for those yorubas busy shouting one nigeria, I'm not Igbo or yoruba but I know yorubas hold nigeria together.

If oduduwa was a nation and ibadan as capital, they'll be one of the most powerful countries in the world.

Most of south west earnings are gone to northern region.

I know most yorubas aren't poor or educationally backward but since they share a country with northerners, foreigners sees them as one.

Nigeria is a very hopeless country

Take a look at those countries in that less, they've 1 thing in common.

They are homogeneous in nature before or after they were developed.

USA is mostly whites
China mostly Chinese
Germany mostly Germans
Britain mostly British
Ghana mostly ashantis

But nigerians that has hundreds of tribes fighting for supremacy want to be world power.

Have you seen a country like that before?

Your talking rubbish, what are you saying self.
How is Nigeria created to distract Africa?.
Nigeria was created for two reasons by the Brits
First reason is economic.
Second reason is to control Africa
The second reason is why Nigeria seem to be sending troops in the name of peace making.
What is our reason and interest as a nation for involving in Congo?
The young soldiers in Congo saw that the Belgium government imposed a puppet on the Congolese and as Patriotic soldiers fired by the still lively flame of Independence, they ousted the Belgian puppet, what happened next?
NIGERIA the big slave of west Africa frontier force led aggression against the Congolese.
Imagine the arrogance.
We love Congo more than the Congolese.
Today Congo is still under the shackles of Belgium courtesy of the big slave in the farm, Nigeria.
Some years later, somewhere in Liberia, some liberians would rebel against a pro American government where Dupont is feasting on Liberia's rubber which is their main source of income,as usual the big slave will go to Liberia, impregnate as many women as possible, smuggle guns and come back.
The silly country have fought many wars including the two world wars BUT NONE OF WHICH WAS OF ANY INTEREST TO NIGERIA.
Nigeria fought and is still fightingfor the British and the colonialists that divided Africa.
You can chose to believe your country great, you can decide to look at reality.
Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana etc can lead Africa.
