Why Are Lagos Indigenes Marginalized? by Udmaster(m): 3:35pm On May 24, 2020 |
Lagos state is not a Yoruba state, by origin, it belongs to the Aworis, Binis and Riverine ijaws that live by the coastlines, Yorubas,Igbos, Hausas etc came into Lagos as immigrants no wonder it is regarded as a NO MANS LAND, along the line since the return of democracy,Governors that have ruled the states are immigrants from Osun,Oyo,Ogun,Ekiti , no indigene of Lagos has been a governor in Lagos, This is a big marginalisation just like the way Midwesterns were marginalised in old western region. Stop the marginalisation of Lagos indigenes, #hashtag 6 Likes |

DEROX:It will never ever happen in this life! See the small opportunity they were giving in Isolo and Festac that they misused. Thank God Tinubu and mc oloumo dealt with them in the last election. How many people can become ordinary councilor in their own state or even buy a land successful? Not to talk of becoming a rep 3 Likes 1 Share |

@ OP I am an awori by birth. Currently in Lagos and a Lagosian in every way. Awori is a subgroup of Yoruba. However, in terms of marginalisation, we are marginalised, that's the truth. However, Sanwoolu is an indigenous Lagosian so I guess the correction is being made. You an ibo man, when are you leaving Lagos? We are tired of your guts. I will keep increasing the rental of my family properties in Lagos Island till you guys just go. You dont pay tax nor contribute to the state. You all just came to hustle... 11 Likes 2 Shares |

The indigenous Lagosians have been silenced for million years, just like the Fulani silenced hausas. It's a lost cause OP. |

Awori people are Yoruba people, they left Ile Ife to settle in Lagos, but in your ignorant mind, Lagos belongs to Awori people, but Awori people are 100% Yoruba people so Lagos belongs to Yoruba people. See how ignorant, daft and confused you sound? Igbos can be very silly and ignorant sha. 8 Likes 1 Share |

hammerU: The recent hosting of Awori people, currently domiciled in Lagos and Ogun states by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is not different and unique. But, the celebration of Olofin Ogunfunminire, the progenitor of the Aworis, who migrated from Ile-Ife decades back added colour and glamour to the hosting of the Aworis in the historical town. Olofin Ogunfunminire, the progenitor of the Awori people migrated from Ile Ife, the cradle of Yoruba race and civilization, besides, Ogunfunminire is 100% Yoruba name, not Benin name, even benin people won't sell you that bad story. Stop making up stories, Awori people know their own history and origin. 4 Likes 1 Share |
