Lol foreign investment ...why do you people even celebrate foreign investments

This is one thing I like about our people we don't give foreign investment many chances before they come we already have local companies doing it

A company which invest $50 million dollars into your economy would take $500 million out of it over 20 years ....but if it's a Nigerian or locals your economy would grow by 500 million dollars more

Ota would have close to the same industry as nnewi but you can't compare both why ? One is foreign investment one is local

I'm a believer in 100% Africapitalism

And as for night mile read about it ...

The industrial complex u just showed is almost same size as the one owned by master energy in abia

Foreign investments not only create jobs and opportunities for millions of our young graduate and non graduate population, they transfer technology, they generate IGR that build your roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, pay salaries and so on.

Also, transporters, vendors, market sellers, advertisers, sign writers, connected to their products and services all make money directly or indirectly and they all pay taxes to your states and local governments in for of IGR

Governments all over the world go on trade missions to hunt for foreign investments and investors to in vest and grow their economy, but our shallow and young Nigerian youths and sadly the leaders of tomorrow got it all backward, and you wonder why your region is so poor and also why investors don't go to that part of Nigeria.

I hope your state or community is not depending on youths like you to one day govern them because they are in serious trouble.

undecidedThe whole environment looks disgusting. Look at the massive brown roofs surrounding the environment. This picture offers a more credible statistics on the extreme poverty ravaging Yoruba land. SW needs to invest more in their people so as to improve their living situation.

Is this necessary?

Don't make enemies for no reason.

Tell me a country in this world that's in the top 30 economy and have a population above 80 million that foreign investments grew

You empower your small manufacturers or top importers to set up factory here not bring people from outside ....

I know u what understand ...it's your type that's celebrating or bragging about igbos traveling

There are two types of money ..positive and negative money ... positive comes in and negative goes out of your country

If you have more positive your economy would grow ...if you have more negative your economy would shrink

Foreign investors have never helped anyone

Our local banks have done more for us that coca cola even tho the later is bigger

What brought Aba and Enugu into this discussion about the development of Or Town?

Are Enugu and Aba in the same State with Ore? What exactly is the basis of comparison?

Must every city be like Enugu and Aba?

Igbochief001:

Have u ever been to 9th mile ?
Let me not even call aba ..9th mile enugu is far far ahead of ore can be in the next 20 years

It's funny how people who have traveld to see both places would tell you something you that only seen one would say it's a lie

Do you even know the enormous threat those Rusty corrugated roof pose on the life of Yorubas? With the evident poverty there, it is pretty obvious those people cannot access borehole water and thus will rely on rain water dropping from those Rusty roofs.
In the East, clean borehole water is the cheapest thing you can access. It is not even a luxury because most building have it done even before the building is erected and adorned with Modern new Zealand roofing sheets

Have you ever been to Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub?

It's funny how I'm just hearing about 9th mile but everyone knows about Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub. The Ondo-Linyi Industrial hub is the largest Foreign Direct Investment in Nigeria in 2018. President Buhari was wowed when he came to commission it earlier this year.

These are pictures of different factories situated within Ondo-Linyi

Both of you are talking absolute NONSENSE

I have never heard of 9th mile or ondo-linyi

Neither of these states has any serious commercial potential now or in the immediate future

So drop this childish chest beating

Obviously you don't know anything about Ore. Ask people that ply this road before now. They will tell you the number of lives that have lost at this spot and the traffic they face at the intersection road.

Ore, a town in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State, is the gateway that connects Lagos, the nation's economic nerve centre with both the Eastern and Southern parts of Nigeria on a direct stretch.

The need to improve the socio-economic activities of Ore and put an end to the incessant accidents at the Ore junction along Lagos - Benin Expressway, gave birth to the construction of the Ore Flyover/Interchange Bridge by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. The first Flyover in Ondo State.

The Flyover, which was Christened "Redemption Bridge" and commissioned by President Buhari earlier this year, has no doubt improved the look of the ancient town.

ONDO STATE IS OIL PRODUCING STATE.

It should have more infrastructural facilities to prove its crude oil status.

things are not done orderly in this part of the world. There should always be a layout for buildings, the whole area will look better that way.

Lol, sorry to say but you're dumb.

Besides that, these places have been existing way back before you forefathers started seeing cloths to wear not to talk of building houses.

My problem with Ore is that it growth rate is too slow. Ore suppose to be one of the most advanced town in South western Nigeria. I have been hearing of it in early 80's. I was disappointed when I finally visited it in 2002. The government should do more to improve Ore
