You are right! I thought they all strategically left it open with a caveat that the flight may not operate and only reschedules are possible so they can hold on to that revenue

It's just FG and NCDC / PTF that are the only unpredictable variables. Will Nigeria open its Airports July 01?

As per visa interviews, as soon as the US Federal Government (RealDonaldTrump) announces 'opening', Department of State will instruct the Embassies and Consulates to open also based on their home country.

Ignorant folks. What are they going to do in America? Your possible hosts are hard hitten by a global ravishing pandemic. Their government is working so hard; looking to shore up a falling economy. What's your home government doing about hers? What are you doing to make your country a better one in the wake of a pandemic?

Shame!

Well, anyone can do what they wish to do. Run your race. You can win. You have a 'mind' of your own.

But what i dont understand is why are local flights grounded? I can understand lagos and Abj at complete shut down cos they have the most hit. Other airports don't have to suffer

Even the USA did not completely shut down their airspace for local travel

Nigerian government is reactive. Issues happen, they respond to that issue, and not the total picture.
Markets, churches, mosques, public transport is equivalent nnumber of pax on local air flights

They all did. If their planes are grounded, why will they sell tickets with dates you cant travel on.
Go to any and pick May 30 or June 15 as a travel date and let's know the response.

Logistics wise can a hub like Atlanta airport hold all of Delta's plane or Heathrow all of BA's planes?

Good day house, what are the chances of a daughter (not yet married) & above 18 yrs migrating to the USA. Her father will get an American citizenship this year after he passed his citizenship exam.

Can he file for her?

They parked the planes on runways.
BusinessInsider had an article on how most major airlines stored their fleets during Covid.

True.
Lagos airport had lots of flights daily. And usually from 12midnight. Flew over my house and I tracked some with FlightAware

Yes he can file for her. Either him being a citizen or a permanent resident. Below is a link that answers all your questions.

Done

I asked for this clarity because I posted about repatriation flights last two weeks or so. A friend (married with kids) dad filed for her about 7 years ago, and she got her permit Q4 2019. They were to travel Q1 2020 but Covid came calling.

The lady (18yrs) in question has a good chance, but it will take time (years) and also be delayed further by POTUS recent restriction on Migration.

Infact, flights still come in daily to Lagos airport most notably Ethiopian airline. I live close to the airport and I see it. Sometimes Qatar airways, etihad airways , emirates and even British airways.

You can't say that, the protest may continue or fizzle out within 1-2 weeks.

We have to wait for the US Federal system to announce lockdown is over for Federal employees. The embassy runs with the US Government schedule and calendar. Nigeria's lockdown easing won't influence their decision. I need that announcement also
Good morning. Please I'm new and a novice on US visa application.
My questions are:
1) what are All the requirements for US visiting visa application
2) which one is preferable to apply for between A visiting visa and a permanent resident visa (My bro told me it will be easier for me to get the visiting visa here in Nigeria than residency visa)
3) what are the processes I need to undergo for visa application right from scratch

Please I'll really appreciate your response OR to others reading this. Thanks

You need to read the whole thread to understand the process or go to US embassy Nigeria website.

As Seyewest mentioned, you'd need to do a lot of reading.

This thread and all its parts are for Visit Visa (NON-Immigrant Visa) ONLY.

Permanent Visa (Immigrant Visa) is not covered here.

Requirements as requested are available at https://ng.usembassy.gov/visas/

Obtain a Nigerian Passport (Nigerian Immigration)

Pay the visa fees (Your Bank)
Book an appointment for visa interview (US Travel Doc website)

.
The truth is that no one here in this forum can tell if a new visa would be issued or not. But the fact is that it will be treated as a new application and you will still need to prove to the Visa Officer that you have no intention of staying back. Lastly I hope in your last trip to the USA you didnt stay more than the number of days or weeks you filled in the Ds160 application for your first Visa, even though you were stamped in for 6months because if you did you might be asked why.
Good luck.
