Good evening to everyone. I have been trying to solve the question below all to no avail. I am even thinking that the question is wrong but I said let me show my maths gurus in the house.
The question is solve the simultaneous equation given
3^x=9^y

4^xy=2^x +2 (two raise to power x and a further addition of two. the second "two is not attached to the power x).

bro i have tried both method b4 posting,it gives thesame equation meanwhile i didnt use the logarithm rule u stated above kindly check the workings again

Check where you said " taking log of both sides"
Your next move when taking the long of the left hand side is mathematically wrong. Also, substitute your answers in both equations given and see if they will come out same in both equations. I have tried this question, so I know what I am saying.
