The G6 is the longest firing 155mm SPHs in the world...and the G5 is the longest firing towed 155mm howitzer in the world.
and so, does that make it more reliable or durable and how many armies use it world wide.

Look, SA artillery is good but claiming is the best available in world market is what i'm against, especially when you it doesn't much sales. Look at the Indian bofors, a lot of countries use it and more are still going for them. Because it delivers.

Its been tested in combat more than most systems and as you should know most arms sales are politically motivated and have very little to do with the actual system itself.

The G6 tops the charts when it comes to Range, Speed and Protection....never mind the fact that its also the longest firing system in the world!! also in terms of rate of fire its also near the top of the list!!

Currently there are 4 countries that use G6

The bottom line is to keep it ultra modern...I mean either of the three...

let's agree SA G5 and G6 are good at least on paper but not the best in the world. No

Provide a link that suggests it's the best.

Vt4 tanks are more modern but not the best out there, there are no best fighters jets, or best tank, what counts is majorly it's serviceability and durability. The potency rests on the men using them.

Fair enough...

However let's not forget that in my original post I never claimed they were the best... Simply stated that SA is king when it comes to Artillery systems.

Then you babbled on ignorantly about them never being tested in battle when in actual fact they are very well tested in the field and are currently seeing combat as we speak.

Read this.....review. Lipstick on a pig. Try to understand basic of tourism first.

We drove from Calabar to Ubudu. That ride was long but pretty interesting nontheless! Once you enter Obudu you will be enchanted by its majestic view! But the Resort/hotel is quite expensive and it really is not worth it! Food was OK but really overpriced! Exhausted and couldn't wait to rest, we ignored the hefty price and booked sort of a family room. But my dream of an early rest and a peaceful sleep was shattered the moment i lay down on my bed - it smelled of URINE! yes URINE! We called the reception/housekeeping but there was no one answering so I had to call the cell number of the person in charge of housekeeping and he informed me he was already off! He told me he will inform the hotel himself ... I waited 30 minutes and no one came... So i finally had to g out of the cottage (in a cold Ubudu evening) walked towards the restaurant to inform someone! FInally after perhaps more than an hour of waiting ... someone came to change the sheets but it was still smelly so we requested to be moved somewhere else. To make matters worst, they did not have any electricity and we had to move our things in the dark using my cellphone light! What a disappointing trip!

Beautiful location, terrible hotel
The location is beautiful but the access is difficult. The hotel is in a shameful state of disrepair. The food is expensive and very bad. Though there is a cattle ranch in the area there is no fresh milk for breakfast and the meat served in the restaurant is hard and dry. We asked for a barbecue and after waiting for ages we were served burnt pieces of goat. The service is so unbelievably bad that they could not bother to put soap and toilet paper in the restaurant toilets. But they know how to charge a hefty price!

Spare yourself the trouble and the money and travel to Cameroon or to East or South Africa.

KQ is critical national asset. We are not Ghana backwater or Nigeria to allow it to die. We have built our horticulture and flower sector on the back on it.

Airline industry is like that. There was time when KQ was winning awards left right and center. That time Ethiopia airline was making huge losses.

That time was until 2012. KQ went down. Ethiopia airline came up. KQ by now would be bigger than ET Airlines.

Sorry but where is Ghana Airways again? So we can listen to you.

Your macro-economics are just like Zambia. At least Nigeria somehow tries. Your cedis is pretty useless. It 1:1 with dollar few years ago - now it's 1:6 - that is like 600% depreciation. Who will trust such nonsense of a currency.

KSHS 10yrs ago was 85 to the dollar. Now it plays 100 to dollar.

Heck in 1995 it was 75 to a dollar. That is like 25yrs.

That is a stable currency you can leave your assets in and forget about it.

Now assume if you got German marks - bought a house in Accra - and you come back to be told - it was worth 5 times less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Well unless you never convert it back.

While you keep dreaming in what you will do and what you will not use that opportunity to enjoy ibom Air....A state owned airline established in less than a year and already has 4 fleets..

Naij has jokes! How exacting does a state establish an airline? Who ARE THE major shareholder? WHAT is the equity structure? WHAT is the finance structure and critically in this coronadrama era has the repayment issue been looked at?
THERE ARE SO MANY QUESTIONS I LAUGH THAT THIS IS THE BRAINCHILD OF AN EX BANKER, GOV UDOM EMMANUEL!
Nobody knows the equity shareholding of the government; who the technical partners, directors and management team are and how much the government has spent on the project so far.

This is a flying Ajaokuta!? I'll bet the farm it'll land in flames and tears in max 5 years! The good thing is there are wise Naijjans as the writer recognises the potential of the oil palm biz I'VE touched on severally.

Total new jobs created so far is not up to 50, for an investment which is conservatively estimated at N10 billion or more! For a development economist, what comes to mind is: couldn’t such a tidy sum have been invested in a better venture that would bring more benefits? The Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, recently announced that Nigeria spends $500m (N180 billion) yearly to import palm oil.

If Governor Udom Emmanuel had invested half of what he used to set up the airline (or perhaps far less) to create and replant 1,000 hectares of oil palm estate across our state, Akwa Ibom would have benefitted far more from it than what Ibom Air would ever achieve in its life time. An oil palm estate of that size with corresponding investments in oil mills would employ over 2,000 persons and earn at least 10 per cent of the nation’s yearly import bill.

Maybe he's lurked here and agreed with my Malaysia palm oil comparison? Anyway this gov is another Yemi Kale class comedian.
Naijjans, stop wanking over this project.

the old idiot is here again to pat the back of his zombie fella. Currency depreciation is just a miniature of what an investors look at, in investment world , there is what is called payback method . Ability to raised the money invested as quick as possible.since Ghana has a better GDP per capital averagely in Africa side , she does better because of short-term advantages such as its rich market size and appeal. . Ghana also fares better in long-term pillars such as social development, and most especially in good governance. This benchmark are more solid proof of rocket economy rather than artificial depreciation of currency.

Einstein was not speaking until he was 4 or 5yrs. This could be child abuse. I remember in 90s in Kenya - we had a parent teach a kid medicine - and that kid ended up a sad under-achieving adult. Rarely do these child progenies pushed on by ambitious parents ever achieve anything.

Don't force the kid to cram nonsense - let the kid grow.

Found him - he is now just a record officer.

His story is of the dangers of parents putting a lot of pressure on their children and living their own dreams through them.

Lol.its seems this is becoming a new thing from you guys ..once you can't compete with us you go online to fish out critics article..hell yeah you would see numerous of those online...I mean we are a democratic nation..freedom of speech and expression exist...

Ignoring the rest of your drivel I want you to get the bottom line...Ibom Air started off with just two fleets and in a matter of months (about 6 months) the airline blossomed with profit and was able to add another fleet to the existing once . Fastword four month later the profit making, zero indebted Airline got an extra fleet making the airline an owner of four fleet....KQ needs to come and learn a thing or two from ibom Air...I mean you lack every moral right to lecture me on airline matter when your 3 aircraft airline last made profit 12 years ago .it's should be the other way round..let's us teach you the hidden misery behind building a successful globally recognised, profit making Airline...
Enjoy ibom.Air..the pride of Africa grin grin grin
