I treated malaria couple of weeks ago and few days ago I am not able to smell anything and has a very low sense of taste while swallowing edible substances. What might have be the cause and what should I take to cure.
Please help me nairalanders (Doctors and medic expert in the house). Thanks.

Hmmm, is it not better to call NCDC? that's now part of Covid19 symptoms together with d malaria, dont take it personally, its better to try run d test first.

It may not be. There has been a massive outbreak of this kind of symptoms In Bonny Island recently. At first, people thought it was C19, but I understand that the test that were carried out showed otherwise. A few people have died anyway, but I understand the general treatment has been with malaria drugs, and affected patients have been responding to the treatment

MY thoughts too, and I've been sick oo, currently having sore throat sef. But I'm on quarantine and taking some medications.

Good as u are on isolation, it might not be tho.
Did u call ur doc to tell him d signs?

Are u in one of d epicenters?

yeah but mine is just the smell as side that taken drugs

It happened to me last two weeks wasn't able to smell anything for Four days. Got back my sense of smell on the fifth day

Guys this is happening to me right now ..I can t smell anything.

So what exactly has caused us inability to smell ?.
