Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has finally abolished Almajiri system for life in the state.

Ganduje, who was briefing the media on the state of the COVID-19 in Kano on Wednesday, insisted that the system of Almajiri system has been totally abolished in the state.

The Government explained that if an Almajiri system would be allowed in Kano, there are guidelines which if followed they will allow for it to continue.

The guidelines according to the Governor include having a curriculum that tallies with a formal school system, there must be a provision for Almajiri in terms of their full shelter, foods, clothing and all other necessary livelihoods.

Ganduje added that if Almajiri system will continue, there must be qualified teachers who will be certified by the government through test and examinations.

“If these guidelines are strictly followed and abide by, then we will allow the system to fully operate in Kano,” Ganduje assured.

That's a good development.......I don't know why anybody even thought of starting up almajiri. Almajiri has no importance. I'm a Muslim and I studied the Quran perfectly fine without going through almajiri system.

What is the relationship between covid and almajirai self? These people are just making stupíd moves and law.

Their prophet they are ready to kill for said no movement to or from plagued areas but they openly disregard his commands and are busy inconveniencing others with stupíd policies and moves.

. It is clear these govs are after using covid to extract money from the centre. Who feeds the almajirai here. Parents, Alfas or gov? The first two options haven't been able to feed them so far so who feeds them according Ganduje?
He has forgotten what their prophet they love to impose his teaching on others said about zero movement in and out of plagued areas. That explains a lot about the stupíd movement of almajirais all over the country when their movement was least needed.
