Greetings to all the experts here.... Pls I need your help/idea on getting a car for Uber purpose. Currently I have just 800k available. I'll like to know if it can get a car for Uber. Also I'll like to know the model/year of car that qualifies for Uber as well.

If anyone genuinely has a car that fits my current pocket size, pls show pics here or feel free to dm me on WhatsApp - 09052950331
Honda Civic 03-08, Toyota Camry 03-06, Nissan Sentra, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Rio. You should be able to get a good deal of Naija used with 700k, spend the remaining 100k on the car to put it in order.

Any car you settle for endeavor to pay for a professional hand to inspect the car for you.

All the best.

Nice one, thanks for sharing your experience. Me sef I'm still having uber because bolt haven't activated my account

northbird:

Well, every man to his cup. I think it all boils down to personal preferences. That's why some drivers r still on Uber.

I mean I need to know where I'm going to in Lagos. I can't just b driving around Lagos wtout purpose.

The plan is to make profits n not to just keep driving forming activity. Sadly, uber fares. .. embarassed too low.

Heading home nko. Uber's destination is always non- responsive. If I'm going home from island n I set destination to mainland on Bolt.

Worst case I get yaba or ogudu WC is still good. grin

On uber, you HV to keep trying. embarassed somtyms sef I gat blow empty wen I Neva knew Bolt was d bomb back then.

Abi na those short trips n you see #370 something naira. angry.

Wt a corolla for godsakes wat will #370 naira do for me ..

On bolt. Weda its from point a to b even if na just 3-5 mins ride. Its #500 flat..

N so on. Mehn , I can't be forming posh n still get shortchanged.

If at COB , d 5% margin gives me an extra #500- #750 daily . In 20 days, I have #10,000- 15000 to play with.

That's very fine by me.

QUESTION FOR THE HOUSE.

in light of these trying times, what salary would you take to go back to a regular job?

This is question I find difficult to answer in an interview but as for your question I will say you should provide more information or make more paintings about the job to get more reasonable responses.

But, Assuming I where asked this honest question in an interview my honest response will be base on a lot of considerations which may include:

How long I'll have to travel to work place from my place of residence just incase the company is not providing accommodation close to work place.
In this case let's assume coy is providing accommodation.

How of hours I'll be working every day.
Assume 8hrs which is 8am-5pm daily

I will ask my self is the position in line with my carrier objective? How well will it build me, position me to being a professional?
In this case let's assume, Yes. Meaning would be happy working for the org.

Will the organization being offering training at subsequent time which may include travel, seminars and all that? Let's assume, Yes.

Let me stop here, then a salary range I would accept base on the above would further be considered base on these two conditions as well.

If organization is located on the island within N100k to N150k will be ok considering the high cost of living and education for my kids. But,
If company is on the mainland, then N70k-120k will be ok. Either ways, there should prospect in salary increase as the economy gets better.

Lastly and not the least, if it's a full staffing job then in either situation of the organization salary range of N100-120kk for island location while N70-100k for mainland should be considered. Otherwise, N150-200k for island location and N100-150k for mainland should be considered.

All condition is base on my marital status which is "married" and with kids. I can only speak for myself.

To all the auto personals and experience people in the house this question is for you.

Topping of engine oil in the car after noticing shortage due to some justifiable reasons like maybe, shortage due to damage and or replace oil seal, due or about to be due for a total change of oil/service, etc.

So does adding of a fresh oil to top the engine oil good for the engine?

What is the likely advance effect of rhis usual act?

200k
My last job was higher than 200k
I lost it in 2017. Been doing my own businesses including Uber. So for me to go back to a secular job again, it shouldn’t be less than 200k.

The only adverse effect is when you pour your Engine oil in the system when the Engine is at threshold temperature. It can cause crack within the engine block.

So do it early in the morning before you crank. Hope I have answered your question sir?

Interesting. Were you making that much with Uber and now that the industry has changed, are those still your expectations?

Depends. Are we talking half to one quart or 2 or more. Also, how close is it too the next oil change. If it's close, might as well do a full change. Or at least remember to still change it at the previously scheduled time. Also, must be the same grade as was already in there.

Yeah, this is more like it. My sentiments, position and circumstance exactly.
Good thing I am both partner and driver, that way I can maximize my income to match or exceed 200k monthly.

Nice looking out. If that’s the case though, I think it’d just be best to put the job link and expected salary here, then advise applicants to put you as a reference or copy in the mail application.

Quoting a figure might be counterproductive as people that quoted higher might want to compromise and vice versa. Nice one Mrs. Rad. More oils to your engine.
