Voters registration across states in Nigeria mind you many pro Biafra refused to register, check typical Yoruba states and Igbo states
So it was the Entire Yoruba race that registered

Or pro Biafra didn't register in 2015?

And registration is different from voting, they refused to vote not register as many of them have registered in 2015.

Don't they teach you anything in that Ipob Department of statistics? cheesy

https://www.nairaland.com/5875972/1952-nigeria-ethnicity-census-result

This remains the last official census result of Nigeria where ethnicity were considered. Before then was 1931 and 1921, and Ndiigbo were clear leaders in all.
Everything else is speculative.

Until a new one is conducted, Ndiigbo remains the most populous ethnic group in the South.
To the best of my knowledge, a champion remains a champion until a new tournament is conducted and he loses. But until that new tournament is conducted, he remains a defending champion, and no matter what bitter contenders might think, the champion retains his belt.

Stop disturbing my mentions with emotional tantrums.

Only mention me when you have official result to beat 1952 numbers.

You can go visit Yemi Oluwale for Ewedu NBS stats and masturbate on that, if it makes you feel good. But don't bring me in. I only deal with official figures from neutral sources.
Gbam.

Stop lying, IPOB man. There's no documented history of Igbos being taken to Brazil. The Bantus from Angola, Yoruba were the majority. No Igbo in Brazil. I have your time today.
those guys are not yorubas they only practicing Yoruba culture....yoruba people are usually black and very skinny with cone heads...Brazilians don’t look like that most black Brazilians are light skin big with flat heads same as African Americans

Can u bring a reference to show actual populations of your group in your own very country Nigeria?

I encounter lots of Igbo traders in port novo ..far more than any other Nigerians there.. If u have ever visited benin,u can attest too
Lol, what is the population of Igbo traders in Benin. And please, don't bring some dubious figure from the stables of IPOB Bureau of Statistics.

Typical IPOB monumental buffoon! Salvador da Bahia has the largest black population in Brazil, and the Yorubas are the biggest, predominant ethnic group taken to Bahia. There are Yorubas here in Lagos, Porto Novo and Ouidah who still have relatives in Brazil. The descendants of Rodolfo Manuel Martins de Andrade (Bamgbose Obitiko) are spread all over Brazil and Nigeria. Same thing with the Assuncao-Alakijas. Your own Igbo people are usually black too, IPOB nitwit!

Learn some few things. In conclusion, there are indigenous Yorubas in Sierra Leone and Gambia.

I already know about Igbos in EG but it's a mixture of Igbo and Efik people.

Shut your dirty mouth, If we add the Igbo DNA carriers in the carribeans and south America. The Igbo population will dust yoruba population by several millions.

You want to pretend that most African Americans are not of Igbo heritage, you want us to fill this thread with pictures of AAs rediscovering their Ibo roots? Most Jamaicans are of Igbo descent, the Jonkunu yam festival in Jamaica and Carribeans stems from the Igbo culture, do yorubas celebrate yam festival?
The word 'Unu' in Jamaican patois and Carribean pidgin is an Igbo word derivative. The first black president of Haiti was a former slave of Igbo descent.

So if you yorubas want to go that lane, be our guest, as we all know that if we factor in Igbo-descendant population in the Americas and Caribs and add it to the local population and in diaspora, 200 million will be a conservative figure for Igbo global population count.
Most African Americans aren't of Igbo descent, IPOB liar. The vast majority of African Americans are descendants of Africans from the Congo/Angola areas. Bloody liar. No wonder you idiots also claim you're the second largest ethnic group in Equitorial Guinea.

In Yorubaland, even to beg is a taboo. This is why you see the news of money rituals recently being quickly reported in our media and the article on emerging traits of begging in Yorubaland. In fact in Yorubaland, little crime, big exposition and loud noise because it is an anomaly.

Your assertion means that Igbos are a lawless people.
Does it mean that social criminality is an ingrained culture in Igboland.

Small wonder because we have seen instances where a whole or majority of Igbos backed known Igbo criminals.

A lot of social and ritual criminalities go on in Igboland which are not exposed because they have become the norms, the culture.

Imagining not knowing that prostitution, factory births, bastards birthing etc are topnotch criminalities but with no adverse name given to them because they have become a kind of norm,a culture.
No wonder... huh
I don't know what you are saying about begging! I said bastard , there is no word for bastard

Bubi 6.5%
Mdowe 3.6%
Annobonese 1.6%
Other 1.4%
Bujeba 1.1%. Yet the fraudulent idiot Pazienza claimed the thousands of Igbo migrants and their descendants there will "cancel out" the Yoruba population in Benin Republic. Another IPOB buffoon also claimed little Igbo traders in Porto Novo are visible than the Indigenous Ajashe (Yoruba) there, lol. What exactly is responsible for the collective psychosis of the Igbo?

Lol, that is the Igbo man for you. It's that personality disorder inherent in them. They collectively suffer from paranoia. According to Igbos, 33,000 is greater than 2,300,000. Lol. They need help.

Which Yorubas led the revolution in Brazil?

Don't get it twisted.

Congo, Angola groups are the majority in Brazil and they came earlier at a time "deAfricanization" was common in Americas. So they lost they cultures and had to embrace the Yoruba culture of Yoruba slaves who were late comers at a point the deAfricanization policy had been relaxed.

That you see a black slave in Brazil bearing Yoruba name or practicing Yoruba culture, does not mean they were originally Yorubas.
Typical ill-educated IPOB buffoon. So, what about the Male slave revolt (male"Imale" is the Yoruba term for Muslims) of 1835 in Bahia led by Yoruba, Hausa and Nupe slaves? What about Jose Antonio Aponte, a Yoruba slave, who staged a slave revolt in Cuba in 1812? What about enslaved Yoruba women Carlota Lucumi and Fermina who led a slave revolt in Matanzas Cuba in 1845? You're Ipobs are drooling ignoramuses. Geez!

I can ignore all those distortions and lies you wrote since.
But the bolded you sound stupid
Metaphysical come and see what your in-law wrote
You fell for that, well I’ll explain. A child of a Yoruba father and Igbo mother is 50-50 Yoruba-Igbo. Infact all children inherit the mitochondrial DNA exclusively from the mother and is the only genetic material every individual inherits exclusively from their mother. If this paternally Yoruba child marries an Igbo woman, their children are 25-75% Yoruba-Igbo%. They might bear all Yoruba names but DNA wise are more genetically Igbo.

A living example would be Ifeanyi Adeleke. Born to an Igbo mother and Yoruba father of 25% Igbo genes (Davido’s Igbo grandmother). Genetically speaking, Ifeanyi Adeleke’s genetic admixture would stand at 40% Yoruba, at least 60% Igbo (50% from his mom, about 10% from his dad). A good number of others like this in the SW. DNA chromosomal testing (often used by black Americans to find out their tribal ancestry) performed on Ifeanyi will confirm this.

Doctors, pharmacists, microbiologist etc all know what I’m talking about.

You are quick to say that you are more than Yoruba in some places only because you are traders who are always seen in markets etc.

The fact is that Yorubas are the most viral travellers in Nigeria because of their ingrained lust for adventure and success.

Itshekiri,Olukumi,Yorubas that have become Igbos in IMO state,Yoruba indigenes in Dahomey now Benin Republic etc all left Yorubaland to travel long and wide to these places.

It was only the civil war that turned Igbos to travellers but they still have a smaller number in the diaspora compared to Yorubas.
It's funny when ipob think Yorubas don't travel when Obi of Onitsha himself trace his origin to Ile-ife in Osun state.
Yorubas are giving it to them hot hot. No place to hide with their lies on the internet anymore believe me i wont want to be a flaty now

Equatorial Guinea. The language is regionally recognized there.

In the spirit of Brazil and Cuba Yoruba-descended slaves, plenty Igbo descendants in Jamaica, Haiti, United States, Guyana, Belize etc.
, Yoruba in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaican (Abeokuta in Westmoreland). The last surviving enslaved person in the United States was Kudjoe Lewis (Oluale Kossola), a Yoruba man from the Idaasha Yoruba sub-group in Bante region of the Republic of Benin.

The overwhelming majority of slaves taken from this Bight were Igbo and it was consistent from the start till the end of the slave trade. Igboland was densely populated and had the population to sustain the slave trade demands.

The country recognizes Igbo as one of their languages. According to the 1994 census of EG (I know Wikipedia should not be used here, I also provided you a snapshot of the webpage where this data was pulled from), you could see that the Igbo were the 3rd largest group in EG. In Igboland, EG is called 'panya' and in the 20th century, thousands of Igbos relocated to EG in search of economic opportunities (similar to the Yoruba group that left Nigeria to settle in Togo many decades before) and they have long naturalized there.
Nah, there are indigenous Yoruba in Togo. The Ana Ife in Kambole and Atakpame are indigenous. The Igbos aren't indigenous to EQ. Try harder.

Igbo influence lingers in more subtle ways, especially linguistically, down to the Pidgin English (imported from the Caribbean) that we speak in Nigeria! Una (from Igbo 'unu'), 'dey' (from Igbo 'di' i.e Chi di/God dey), tee (from Igbo 'tee' ie o teela/e don tee) etc all come from Igbo language. The Jamaicans still say 'unu', not even 'una'! Igbo 'unu (una, wuna, uno, unnu, wunu) is used virtually across all English-based patois in the whole world, from Nigerian PE, Sierra Leone PE, Ghanaian PE, in Belize patois, Jamaica, Guyana etc. You name it.

An Island here in the US is called 'Ebos landing' and up until the 1980s, some African Americans still bore 'Ebo' as their surname! Due to the high concentration of Igbo slaves in the state of Virginia, US, VA was nickamed, 'new eboeland' and in this regard did the state, not Igbos, decide to build an Igbo village in Staunton VA in recognition of the past heavy Igbo presence.

Yoruba Ifa which originally was practiced by Yoruba slaves was embraced by descendants from other tribes (even till this day) as a way of connecting to Mama Africa/their African heritage and has transformed into a religion for afro-descended blacks but it does not mean that all adherents are Yorubas or have Yoruba ancestry. A substantial number aren't Yorubas by blood and their DNA admixture test will prove this. Brazilian and Cuban blacks are a good mix of Congolese, Angolese and European genes. Some Igbo as well. Roman Catholicism originated from Rome and spread worldwide to have hundreds of millions of adherents. A good number of Igbos today are Roman Catholics but they are not Romans. Also, in Judaism, you could be a Jew either by religious conversion or by having Jewish (esp maternal) ancestry. However, only those of true Jewish genetic ancestry are regarded as Jews.

When many afro-descendants start to investigate into their African ancestry, they often encounter Yoruba Ifa first but I've seen many of them join and leave the religion, especially after DNA testing indicates non-Yoruba origins. I belong to several Afro-descended DNA testing groups on Facebook and an overwhelming number of results come up with Igbo DNA (some as high as 70% Igbo) and Yoruba comes up once in a while (again, confirming the number breakdown posted previously). Do not confuse all Ifa adherents in Brazil and Cuba as Yorubas, because, genetically, they are not. A good number have Congolese and Angolan DNA in them.

It is very easy to make emotional-based claims but DNA testing results have consistently shown a different story.

In SW Nigeria today, due to the high rate of inter-tribal marriages, a substantial number of Yorubas have 50% Igbo blood to as high as 75% or 80% Igbo blood (those with Igbo mothers and Igbo paternal grandparents), despite being 'Yoruba by name'. Yoruba by name, Igbo by DNA.
Lol, which African Americans bear "Ebo" as surname? Show me.
