You have 90 days from when your car arrived to drive legally without number plates..

Can you share a document that supports this claim? I don't think anyone has any right to drive on the road for any period of time with registration. I remember a discussion on this on TV.
But I'll be happy if you can share a legal document in support of your claim please

I don't want to take this any further but I owe it to most of you on this thread asking me about the car I bought to warn you. Amdman sold me a car with a dead battery after assuring me of the durability of the car. I kept on asking him about the battery and he lied to me that its a new battery. His crew took stuffs from the car. I even paid them 22k for car service and the oil and filter wasn't changed. I reported all this to him and he told me expressively that it is not his problem. His crew just boosted the vehicle and brought it back. The car came in 4 days ago and its been parked at my garage cos its basically empty with alot of stuffs missing and it can't even start.
So, buy at your own risk. Cos I'm NEVER doing any other business with this guy.

I know the major reason u feel cheated,is cus most of those little things will end up being expensive due to the car and because u for don make mouth to all your friends and family about how sure you are about the car.

It's his loss cos my uncle and cousin was about to buy from him when the car I bought was confirmed and I don't brag about stuff. He just lost a customer and subsequent ones too. I would have created a thread and called him out but he's not just worth it. I just made this review for the sake of those asking about my experience with the vehicle.

This doesn't sound good, just when we were expecting great news.

Have you tried jump-starting the vehicle with another battery? Did the engine respond?

I appreciate your feedback. Thankfully, the car itself has no issues and that is heartwarming. Though it is not in our nature to engage in banter with clients, I will respond to the issues raised.

1. Car Battery - Car battery is an accessory that declines with age and should be periodically replaced. The car was delivered to you with the same battery that was in use here. There is no time that I mentioned to you that the battery is new and I don't recall having that conversation. I drove that car personally and didn't have any battery issues. So it is a case of the car battery being due for replacement, and even if you bought the car in Nigeria, you would still replace the battery.

2. Things taken from your car - You did not mention this to me and I will take this as an afterthought. If your car is delivered without any of the items that I told you will come with it, then you should let me know. So if any item was taken, please let me know.

3. Service - As a good gesture to you, I recommended that your car should be serviced before heading down to Onitsha and sent you the exact cost required by the mechanic. From the video you sent to me, the oil in your engine was clearly fresh, even after driving to Onitsha. The face of the fuel filter looked arguably dirty and I agreed with you on that and promised to engage the mechanic. His feedback which I communicated to you was that he is 100% positive that the filter was changed, and that you should clean the face of the oil filter to rid of the dust it would have accumulated on it in the course of the trip to Onitsha. As someone I have used and tested severally over 10years, I do not think he would steal a N4000 oil filter and I told you same.

We typically would have swung in to write off some of these costs, but unfortunately your car arrived at a huge loss to us due to the fall in the value of the Naira and the COVID situation. Most people in this line of business sent additional bills to their customers, but we did not do that. Instead we bore all the losses and delivered your car exactly as agreed. We therefore implore your kind understanding.

I did that. It started. I left it on for over 4 hours before I stopped it. I started it again and it wasn't responding. The battery is dead and he knows this cos when I told him, he simply told me blatantly to go and buy a new battery. Which means he knew the battery is dead.

Oh really? Now you want to type? After you were reading my messages and ignoring them?

You told me that the battery is new. The car had rust on it and I did not want to go for it but because you assured me that the car had no issues and the battery was new, I went for it. Stating that I knew of the state of the battery is unethical cos its not possible for you to tell me that a car with rust had a dead battery and I will go for it. I'm not a spend thrift!

Car was delivered even without a drop of brake fluid and the oil was even at the tip of the stick with a rusted filter. Tell me, who does car service without putting those?!

You're clearly a fraud! I can't believe there was a time I defended you! I guess I got a taste of my own medicine and I hereby apologise to those guys I doubted.

We tell you the state of things as we see them, even send you a video to document the visual state of the car. That you need to add brake fluid to the car is an issue?

Now that the car is with you, I think you'd have to buy the battery yourself. It's quite painful to incur additional unexpected expenses.
Don't let this defect overwhelm the joy of getting such ride.

hey there. Also expecting my car and this isnt me playing devil's advocate, but if for any reason my car arrives with a bad battery i wouldnt be upset or surprised. A battery that has been disconnected and idle for approx 3months is a gamble, it may hold up or it may not. That i KNOW for sure.

About the servicing, i agree with you all the way. However i wont agree with the fraud label. He isn't directly on ground here to see these guys, so he kinda has to work on 'he said, she said'. I got my company's car mechanic's services terminated with the company with a report like yours. This guy will collect huge sums to tune up cars that are to be allocated to staff and will literally do little or nothing. The sad Nigerian factor. However, i would have expected AMDMAN to believe you. Cos you are the customer and have nothing to gain by lying. All in all, please calm down, the matter no rish this level. Cheers!

I will not stoop as low as to start posting screenshot of my chat with you.

You pawned off a car with issues and a dead battery to me and you claim to be honest?!

Your mechanic took my money without servicing my car and you claimed to be honest?!

You've been ignoring my messages to you and came here because I did a review and you claim to be honest?!

You can spend the money. 25k for a new battery is nothing to me. You've seen my videos and can deduce that I'm not hungry or looking for a pity party or cheap publicity. I wrote a review cos I feel cheated to pay for something and didn't receive it.

on the battery i wont comment, but on the servicing you really ought to do some restitution there. That car could have been damaged on that trip thereby nullifying the whole point of paying money for the car to be PROPERLY serviced before embarking on the trip. The customer is saying the said servicing wasn't done, and that shouldnt be ignored really. Why shd the brake oil be low or engine oil low/dirty for a car which i paid servicing for? I got the services of the company mechanic cancelled for this exact thing. They sent me a car that wasnt serviced, brake oil was low. We went thru hell before we could take out the belgium oil filter that came with the car, all for a car that was supposedly serviced. I just sent a mail like this detailing every with pictures and that was it. That certainly needs to be looked into i must say.
