Who was Moses first Son?
Joshua? Caleb?

I doubt if you know at all or you can easily remember.

Gerahom was the first son of moses but we never heard anything about him.

This is the mistake made by Great men.

Most leave their Children behind while they train other man's children. They unconsciously invest in their young uneducated errand boy who go about with them. Little do such great men know, that while their children are watching TV at home and having nice time, the uneducated young errand boy goes aroud understudying and learning keys to success and greatness.

Little do mothers know that as the house girl stays in the kitchen and the kids sit in the living room watching tv, they are empowering the young uneducated village girl, and leaving their children behind.

Little does the pastor knows, that has he goes around to church investing in other's people childrenand he doesn't sit at home with his children discussing the word of God, he is like a man who is repairing another man's car when his own car needs serious attention. When he is done the other person will drive off while he will have no car to drive.

No wonder great men's kid become wayward, useless and cannot take over their fathers. Moses left his children behind with his wife and father in-law Jethro, while Joshua became his errand boy, watching different miracles. No wonder Joshua became the next leader of Israel.

Fathers, Mothers, Businessmen and women, don't leave your children behind.
Carry them along.
Stop training other men's children while yours stay back at home train
Look around how many business have generational continuity?
Let them become your PA even deputies
Let people say they are following their father's step.

Op the call of God is not a business or family affair, God called Moses, Caleb and Joshua were equally chosen by God, pls don't destroy gospel by train your child to take over from you, it is very wrong.

Precisely!
In the Bible, not a single one of the prophets was seen to hand over to their sons. Jesus had brothers of His own, but He did not see fit to call any of them to become His own disciples. Matter of fact, according to Jesus, to become one of His, you have to hate your family grin

Matthew 10 vs 37-39 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
34. “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36. And a person's enemies will be those of his own household.
37. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

The main point here is that ministers should train their children no matter how busy they are.
Read through and you'll understand the point. Had to change the topic twice and still people are not getting it.

You are mistaken! Moses did not make a mistake at all.

Did you read somewhere that Moses' son was turned on to an evil path as a result of his father's choice? undecided

When it comes to God, obedience is key! Moses did what he did in obedience to God. God wanted to lead his people to the land he promised them, and since Moses had his son by a foreigner, the boy was not even qualified, to begin with. Yes, Moses' son was not even counted among the Israelites. If you go back to the book of Numbers, where the census of the sons of Israel was taken, Moses is listed as having no sons.

Also, we see from the example that having one's son succeed one does not even make for a better story. The case of Aaron and the priesthood comes to mind.

This is more a world/cultural/societal problem than it is a Christian problem.

Please, let's try to understand the op. Sometimes, we tend to argue on matters we already know the answer to. The op didn't try to say the call is of business, hence, let your children take over.

It's important to know that when you confess take all of me to God, you're also including your children. Abraham showed Issac the way of His God. Joseph to His sons. Issac to Jacob. David to Solomon. Etc. The same scripture reads train up your child in the way of God. Present him the choice of life and their consequences. Only a spiritually lazy man in this generation will disprove that.

Train there kid in what way? Send them to school? Spend time with them? Provide for them as other parents do?

I did read through your post, and even here, you seem to be saying the same thing I already addressed. If you have a particular instance in mind, then it may be best to provide that so we can better understand what you mean.
In the Moses instance, however, it was not a mistake at all. And when it comes to the things of God, your children and your "legacy" take the back seat if you want to obey God.

Religion is serious business.
Every business man should train his children to take over the industry.
It is not right for a business man to train other kids on the secrets of the business to the detriment of his blood children.
Let's keep the industry in the family!
