Canada TRV application is on hold till April 29. They are only processing visa for those with exemptions, of which I happen to be one of them. My husband is a permanent resident, so my application is ongoing as his immediate family member (spouse). I have been asked to go do medicals (the normal medicals for immigration purpose o), which I already booked an appointment for Tuesday. If you go through Thier website, they specifically said it is only applications of those with exemptions that are been attended to at the moment. Let's hope and pray they continue the general application on the 30th of April, if they don't extend the pause.

2. I applied on the 13th of march
3. Immediate family members are:

- Dependent children
-Dependent children of dependent children

-Guardian or tutor.
So I don't think you can be classified as an immediate family member.

If you are one of those exempted, you are expected to send some information about your application to an email address that was given on the website. Go to the website and you will get more information on it

Nairalanders I noticed on this travel section we don't have any forum for people that intend to travel to Canada just for visiting or tourism we only got Canada student visa forum and when people try to ask for help on there people don't render any help. Am ashamed by posting something like this here because I knew isn't supported, but it's better for me than to do ungodly things else.
I understand that the pandemic suitation affected economic globally, please for God sake if any one have job slot maybe private companies or federal government job Kindly help me out. This lockdown affected me Alot as job seeker before covid19 started.
Some places that I was expecting good news before now is under probability .
I am done with my National higher diploma (HND) in computer engineering also completed my youth service 2019. Since then have being learn trasmission engineer ( telecommunications aspect) I'm still looking up to God.
I can manage any organisations you offer me .
Please don't ignore my post, I'm the only 1 knows what I'm passing through.

I applied to go birth in Canada but my baby already came and the pandemic I am sure affected visa processing..
My question is .. is it wise to withdraw the application since the purpose of applying is birthing and baby already came or should I just wait for their response but I fear it might be a refusal.

I think you are misleading people with this post.

You can apply for a supervisa for your parent at any time after you land so far you meet the requirements. You can apply even a month after you land so far you are employed and have a letter from your employer stating how much you earn and it is over the LICO as stipulated in the yearly LICO table. This info you have given is very inaccurate.

Also, where did you get your information from that you will not get a visa to visit the US just 6 months after you land? I am asking because I have friendssssssssssssssssssss that got US visas a few months after landing and by a few months, I am very certain it wasn't up to 6 months and they got their 10 years visitors visa. Your conviction in saying "you will be rejected" is mind-blowing

I know so many have given some likely reasons behind that ladys mum being denied a visa.I just want to quickly state the major reason and i tjink someone mentioned it here, She might not agree to it or other may not but i have been in this country long enough to understand how this things work.

She arrived Canada in May 2019 and seven months after arriving she applied for SUPERVISA...that is a red flag on its own. There are strong clauses attached to meeting the requirement to apply for SUPERVISA for parents and for someone that is just seven to eight months in the country,not yet fully settled down, with family of her own to cater for and adding a probable dependent that in case of health emergency for the one year she is going to stay may gulp good amount of their savings even with the health insurance taken. If she had applied for visitors visa with or without travel history ,her mother would have gotten visa expiry in line with passport expiry date. Just the same way when you arrive here as a PR and just six months after arriving you go to apply for US visit visa here in Canada, you will be rejected as they also see it as too short a time for a PR to want to visit US.

I will advise she apply for visit visa for her mother and upon arrival after three months apply for extension and her mother will still stay up to one year that she originally planned. If she reapplied for a super visa again chances are she will be denied second time.

however she still reserve the right to decide what to do..all we have here are suggestions for better results.

Until June 9, 2020, there will be a suspension in the processing of some applications, and the application process has changed for

if am in this situation , l will request a letter of invitation from brother wife with his resident document,then a well written plan for the duration of your stay and focus should be your plan during your visit because the visa officer cannot see your anniversary as the main reason for traveling to canada but what your plan in Canada during your tourist and family visit all well explain in your letter ,which include a few stay with the family.then you need proof your children will be staying back in Nigeria during your visit to Canada maybe a notarize letter from the nanny or family member that will take care of them in your absent or proof their are in school during this period if they are of school age. do not worry urself about the ticket reservation ...it not compulsory even a screen shot of the ticket price from the ticket sale or airline site is good enough evidence because what the visa officer is more concern about is your financial means to pay for your trip and ties to your country ,travel history and main purpose of coning to Canada ...l applied online for my father recently with same method attached screen shot from wakanow showing airline with ticket price and l also indicated the ticket price in my letter of explanation and how i will pay for it and his visa was approved ..i indicated the date when he will arrive Canada and depart but passport request letter was issued after the proposed dates
