It is already signed that the three of them will be Governors in the state. Let's watch and see how it will finally unfold. Chimaroke and Sullivan had taken their turns already, remaining Ikeoha Ndigbo. |

Stanchem029:Sit down let me educate you. seems you have lost your sense of reason but don't lose or misplace your identity as well. Isi-Uzor Nsukka towns of Ikem, Neke and Eha Amufu have a tradition of Odo worship With the Igbo Etiti towns of Ohodo, Ukehe and Aku, even Igboeze and Nsukka towns of Nru, Eru, Obukpa, okpuje, Ehalumona, Opi, Ihe-eka, Ovoko, Edemani, many other towns with in Nsukka. they make up the Igbo-Odo sub-culture of Nsukka. The Odo is a masquerade, physically but represents a deity who affords the living a chance to commune with their dead in line with the Igbo traditional belief in reincarnation. abi una no get Odo masquereed? Akatakpa? Ori-Okpa. Omabe? Do you even know what 'Odomangala', means? do not let Civilization and politics take away your greatest African attribute as human, Your Identity. Edeoga is an Nsukka son, A proud Nsukka Man. Do you know what Edeoga stands for? That name Edeoga is a highly revelled title in Nsukka land, Just like OZIOKO, OJOBO, Nkposh* and Attama are titles. One had to have barns of yams in in hundreds, or even thousands to get those Recognition. Do you also know that Even Ibagwa Nike people were slaves, people that committed sacrilege, 'Nso ani' ,that were banished from Ibagwa-Nsukka. but they relocated and settled in present day, Ibagwa-Nike? Some free borns (Farmers) whose ancestors had few lands, moved down there as well. and today, Their sons will boldly say and even swear that they are from Nike. The Itchi community in Anambra State are relatives of present day, Itchi community in Igboeze-south. they were used as gift to the gods. and when that happens, You move you belongings and family to that town where the said gods shrine is. After the Obukpa war against the white men, In that war, Obigetti-Obukpa(My ancestral home) beheaded a white man. Obigetti was thirstinf their strength and power until the Whitemen reinforced. My fore-father's had no choice than to dialogue and give up their power to be ruled by white men. Do you even know that some part of Udi people, brought warriors from Arondiiziugwo, who after the war settled in Udi. War help spread obukpa people. many migrated to various parts of Nsukks- Some moved to Nkalagu-Obukpa, Okpuje, Eru and Akpanyi(remember Akpanyi is in presentt day Kogi) If you even look in-depth, Originally Nsukka people are farmers from far away Kanuri and Benue people, few moved from Old Igalla. An Igalla man ruled nsukka back in the days. according to my grandfather, Our Eze, (King) in Obukpa, doesn't become a full-fledged Eze, Until he performs some cultural rites in Present Benue state. Ask your parents. unless they have lost their identity too as you have. You see the reason why Nnamdi Kanu is insisting that Biafra goes as Far as cross-river, (calabar), Benue, Delta, some parts of Kogi(I Get far relations there),Akwaibom, PH and others. If it was Ebonyi people that were saying that they are not Biafra, I would understand as some of their cultures in some parts of Eboniy dey different from some of the cultures in other igbo nations. but they are igbo people, core igbo people. Because of culture contacts over the years, the communities and towns lost a little bit of their identity and took on other peoples culture, esp that neighboring towns. and now, many biafrans in present day, South-south are making this claims like you are doing now. Read your history. Do not lose you identity like the blacks in United States, and Caribbean island, They had no opinion, weren't consulted at all. if not they will choose to be here. But with the happenings and under-development in africa, they may never come home. In summary, Ishi-Uzo are Nsukka people. undiluted. and It should be spelled, Ishiuzo not that supposedly Anambra Igbo alphabet. anyway, We suppose get access to education but an our strong sacred ties to our traditions no gree us. . It took the white men more than 70 years to move from Onicha to Waawa land. Unlike our Yoruba and hausa neighbours. |

Futuragetty:Bro i don't know much about Enugu state history although I'm from Nsude, Udi but from your write up I can clearly see truths if I'm to research too. You know one thing with we Africans, we do not have the ability to pass on history and knowledge to our descendants, cos even the white man said to hide something from an African, put in a book! Civilization really messing things up, I'm not even proud to say m Igbo cos im not worth it....... |

Churchill01:Yes, Being an igbo man, doesn't just end in bearing igbo names. Most of us have highly revelled igbo titles as our surnames, but don't even know its meaning, it's really Sad. I'm currently researching my peoples history and identity, I hope to have it published. I aim not to make money with this, They are for my children and I need to keep the history of my people documented. If We, (Wawa people) don't wake up, In next century, we will only be speaking Igbo Ndi Anambra. We are already writing with it. But you need dey proud of your Identity. Nsude was and is great town. Eke no even match them at all. Your town, Nsude Oshie Anugwu of the ancient Agbaja Kingdom( present day Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State) had legendary exploits in warfare centuries ago. They were smart enough to bring in mercenaries from far away neighbors esp. Aro people. Do your people still celebrate "Igba Nkwa"? How about the ancient Pyramids of Nsude? I know it exist but I don't it's present condition. |

Futuragetty:Yes we still do d Nkwa fest, but its now every 2-4 years i think, i dont attend cos most times its too rowdy and i had they put restrictions to it cos people started killing innocent people around all in the name of the festival. i would love to read your documentation on igbo history when its out. and you seem to know diversely about all igbo history and cultures. kudos! |
