Rivers State Launches Free Bus Scheme (Photos) by akelicious(op): 8:08am On Jun 02, 2020

Rivers State Government kicks off the free bus scheme which will cover Port Harcourt, Oyigbo, Eleme and Obio Akpor LGAs in this first phase

The 28 buses released are part of support given by the Rivers State Government to cushion the effect of COVID-19 in the state.

The Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim and his Transport counterpart, Hon. Sam Soni Ejekwu, enjoy a ride together in the free bus.

The main criterion for accessing the bus is compulsory use of face mask.

Nice move from Wike, although Port harcourt has so much population 28 buses won't do, I know the buses would be over filled with people and the ventilation will be useless in about a month but atleast this man might not be so useless after all. Improving on the railway structure of the state should be next. Also Amechi tried to do this bus thing sometime ago and it failed… I hope Wike maintains this one.
