the victim already tried something sent the invoice of the item and they have sent him feedback that they will send him his new bill

2. DHL initial response will notify you that the package was undervalued and therefore, NCS fixed an arbitrary amount (mine was $600 for a $160 phone). Reply and let them know based on the purchase price you shared with them, it will be ridiculous to justify the high custom duty charged.

3. They will forward your request to the officer working with the NCS and get back to you within 24hrs with a new rate. They eventually reduced the item price to $200.

The whole correspondence took 3 days.

There is something I once did some moons ago. I bought Xiaomi Mix 2 @135k then, custom officers wired me a charge of 37k. I was mad with 'em. I abandoned the goods with 'em. They later returned it to sender, sender refunded me. I later bought the phone at a cheaper rate at eBay

So my friend said your appeal should go through the logistic company u used since it is them and custom that have a relationship. Custom technically don't know you. So send your appeal to them. State your case, let them know the item was not available in Nigeria which was why you shipped from abroad and it is for personal use. State the purchase price and maybe send a link of the price online. Like I said it might take time to review.

I should be receiving my item tomorrow. It landed in Lagos and crossed all processing and should be up for delivery tomorrow. I might also know if I would be getting the dreaded custom tax. My logistic path aligns well with kingzleyz so hopefully I escape as he did.

The weakest link in any organisation is staff. Na one person go drop the ball in a long chain of event. Anyway sha patient, it has come this far. BTW how are you sure you were not charged since you have not received the item.

I ordered the oneplus 7t. My phone screen got damaged and figure might of well get a new device. Interestingly while waiting thinking it would take time, I went and got the pixel 3 xl in Nigeria.. Now it seems the 7t will be entering my hand today.. Might have to sell it cause Pixel 3 is such a joy to use.
