. Very nice. Seen rifles with curved barrels for shooting around corners, but this one is a stretch.
Incidentally, you recently sent me on a wild goose chase searching for a non-existent KV-1 land battleship.

Tonbo imaging Atlas – EOIRST is the most sophisticated long range passive sea skimming device. It features a gamut of Electro Optical sensors for constant & completely passive 360° surveillance and automatic short and long range threat detection from air and sea.

It seamlessly works with high resolution staring array type imaging sensors and provides unprecedented and robust detection and tracking of low elevation, aerial and and surface threats in all weather and illumination conditions.

Integrated with HawkAI deep learning engine its capable of detecting and classifying targets using most advanced video processing as of date.

Combined with constantly scanning long range cooled MWIR thermal imager it generates panoramic images at very long range and can do long range threat detection from anti-ship missiles, fighter aircrafts, drones and fast moving crafts in the sea.

Its a completely passive system with a laser range finder used only when required to get the range to the targets.

Hi! This is an upgrade of existing rifles or new build units? Incidentally, why is there such a tiny scope on it? Was expecting to see a scope like a mile long wink
Heard Dragunov's are favored by Balochistan insurgents, and I've seen pics of squads being almost wholly armed with it. Personally, I would pick a modernized Lee Enfield.

Existing dragunov rifles

Scope range is proportional to rifles effective range 600-800m

Anyways one can install any scope of his choice on the rails.

Baloch freedom fighters get supplies from Afghanistan , Iran including captured ones from pa..... hence the visibility of the same.

Tonbo imaging EK-Gen2 is a smart thermal weapon sight (STWS) designed as a TI weapon sight with an integrated fire control system. It features integrated laser range finder, meteorological sensors and an integrated ballistic computer for real time computation of the bullet drop.

With an integrated sensor package it dramatically increases hit probability and reduces time used for engagement, which in turn raises the overall effectiveness of the weapon system considerably.

It is designed for a variety of small, medium and large caliber weapons including sniper rifles.

EK is based on state-of-the-art HawkVision thermal imaging core. With a 640 x 480 micro bolometer array and advanced thermal image processing.

EK provides a cost effective smart thermal imaging solution to antiquated image intensifier sights offering far superior detection and engagement capabilities along with integrated ballistic calculations.

Unlike any other weapon sight, it is designed with custom tactical mounts that provide zero retention even after firing hundreds of rounds. The sight is designed to maintain zero even if detached and reattached thus allowing soldier to change optics on the battlefield without requiring to zero the weapon.

Capabilities :

Integrated
1. Thermal Imager
2. Laser Range Finder
3. GPS
4. Meteorological sensors (temperature / humidity / air pressure)
5. Inertial sensors (gyro, accelerometer, compass)
6. Laser Pointer
7. Ballistic computer
8. Integrated Target Tracking

Video / Snapshot Recording
1. Manual
2. Auto trigger on fire

Multiple weapon and Ammo support with multiple profiles

Multiple Reticle types cross hair, mil-dot, SVD etc

Multiple language support

Target Geo Referencing

Video Streaming over wireless to android based phone/tablet/helmet mounted heads up display
Bluetooth support for external Kestrel type MET sensors.

External Remote keypad for ease of use

Ok. Say you have a Dragunov rifle would you pay to modernize it like this? Wouldn't it be better by far to get a more modern DMR with better ergonomics and slightly improved range?
By the way, I'm curious- are you actually Indian?

Militaries with thousands of SVDs won't discard the same overnight , they would rather upgrade it to keep it viable and competitive with the latest products of same category

If a military has lot of money sure they can buy new alternates

As for the other question

O fe ku nii? I'm sorry but I don't speak Yoruba or whatever that language is. I asked if you are Indian cos you post a lot of stuff from that country and know a lot about the region.

Lots of militaries seem to love the Dragunov, but I never did. It's too ugly, and not very precise. An RPG 7 on the other hand is a thing of beauty wink
Would be interesting to see which military will spring for this upgrade.

Are such sights sold to the general public or restricted to military? Saw something like this yesterday bring trialled by the US military. It was Israeli made, with a name like SMASH 2000
