Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, Nigeria’s Army Chief has warned personnel that cowardice and sabotage would not be allowed.

He gave the warning to officers and soldiers undergoing Main Battle Tank Training at Nigerian Army Armour School, Bauchi.

Army spokesman, Col. Sagir Musa, in a statement on Thursday, noted that Buratai visited the school on Wednesday.



A total of one-hundred and fifty-five officers and soldiers are undergoing training to become commanders, crew men, drivers and technicians.

The Army chief said he was satisfied with the quality of training, as well as commitment and discipline of the participants.

In my opinion it is the top military officers themselves that are sabotaging the poor soldiers efforts by embezzling funds meant for training, weapons and equipment.
