COVID 19:  Gov. Obaseki Signs Gazette Banning Political Gatherings, Approves Only Benin Stadium For Political Gatherings, Others

The governor also approved the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City,  the State capital as the only facility for any political party desirous of gathering for the purpose of primary elections.

This may have put a halt to the proposed direct primary election by All Progressives Congress (APC) to elect its governorship candidate in the State.

This man keeps trying all avenue to alter the primary election. He has seen the handwriting on the wall, and the odds are against him.

Every strategies is allowed. Atleast, he's the governor of the state. But he must remember, whether now or later, the Direct Primary Election must hold.

This Obaseki no wise at all.... How can he sign a gazette banning Political gathering just because u want an indirect primaries. So how will the election be conducted? Will they do an indirect election too?

That's why the ask him why did he sign a gazette like that didn't he know that it's anti party? On this they might disqualified him for that. When he want to fight godfather he supposed to tread carefully, due to his feud with Osho he refused to inaugurate 14 house of assembly member. Those 14 member along with their fans will be his enemies now when he sign this gazette too those that are supporting him among APC will be manipulated also because they will see it as anti party action because he think he as power more than the party. He would have decamp to PDP to remain strong because if he wanted to decamp now he will still have to face what he is fighting for because it was only PDP godfather that can make them to give him tickets by now if he decamp
