I'm about to get a new device and I was certain of going for a Redmi device probably due to the Nairaland hype but redmi prices have skyrocketed since the pandemic more than other brands, probably due to the high demand. I need experts advice on which of the devices to go for putting the price into consideraton. I emphasize on speed(chipset), camera and battery performance.

All the three phones u made mention of are all great devices.
Now it all balls down to your budget, if u re on a low budget then go for the redmi 8,
But if u have the money go for the Rn8 or the y9
u won't regret buying any of them

You have great taste and I won't want to bore you with epistles as to why you should choose Redmi note 8 as the best outta your preferred options but if you want more,then Redmi N8pro or Redmi N9/9pro is your best shot

N.B-I am not trying to confuse or convince you, instead I am trying to lead you to the good side of excellent phones

But if you are going for y9 add small thing and get y9s

The pictures on the Y9 prime are more vivid and also crisper. love the pop up camera
more storage 4/128gb,lighter in weight.
just my opinion though that is if it is Y9 prime he is talking about

the Xiaomi note 8 isn't bad either but feels a little heavier plus the camera is not so vivid but with gcam it takes better pictures

@ the end is just preference

In my opinion I would advice you get the huawei y9 prime. I have used the rn8 thrice, currently using the Huawei Y9 prime

If money is not an issue, the Huawei Y9 is slightly better than the Redmi note 8, the Redmi 8 is a distant third. The only (potential) downside to the Y9 is the likelihood of having issues in the future while installing Google apps and services. The Redmi note 8 on the other hand has more developer support (Bootloader unlocking, GCam, custom ROMs, and other customizations), and some users prefer MIUI to EMUI.

i like the y9 cos of larger screen nd emui it even has option to reduce screen resolution to conserve battery, but the price must hv gone up... i bought it 76k dec
I hv nt handled redmi note 8 b4 so cant speak of it...
also add infinix note 7 to ur wishlist
