**DID YOU KNOW?**IGBO-ORA,THE TWIN CAPITAL OF THE WORLD...........Igbo-ora is a town and the headquarters of Ibarapa central,Oyo state,s/west,Nigeria.It is situated 80km north of Lagos.The usually large number of twin births in the region have earned it the nickname, which it shares with KODINJI,INDIA and CANDIDO GODOI in Brazil.Virtually every household in igbo ora has at least one record of twins or triplets,including the current ASONROLU AYINLA V,OBA JIMOH OLAJIDE,TITILOYE who is blessed with twins of different gender.A research showed that though the phenomenom may be genetical,it is also related to the eating habits of the women in the town,especially the wide consumption of tubers of yam.The main economic activity of Igbo-ora is farming and the town is home to Obasanjo's mechanized farm.The town today is the location of the oyo state college of agriculture.People from all walks of life converge in the ancient town yearly to celebrate the prestigious Igbo-oru Twin Festival.
